Global nutritional supplement company USANA has once again been recognized — in the 2016 Direct Selling Association (DSA) Code of Ethics Communication Initiative — for taking its ethical business practices to the next level within the direct sales industry.
This year’s recognition marks the seventh consecutive year USANA has been named to the initiative, whose purpose is to encourage and promote the education and communication of the DSA Code of Ethics among member companies, members of the field and the general public.

USANA Q2 Revenue Up 10.8% To $258 Million

USANA Receives Additional Third-Party Seal Of Approval

 

USANA Health Sciences recently announced that it has received another seal of approval from third-party tester ConsumerLab.com, this one for its Procosa cartilage and joint health supplement.
ConsumerLab.com performs independent assessments of health and nutrition products to provide quality ratings and comparisons.
To receive the organization’s seal of approval, products undergo a rigorous testing process. In the case of Procosa, the supplement had to contain 100 percent of the claimed amount of glucosamine, used to keep joints and cartilage healthy, and meet quality standards for lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury.

USANA Receives Approval for 8 Additional Licenses in China

 
USANA Health Sciences Inc. (NYSE: USNA), a global nutritional company, announced today that its China subsidiary, BabyCare Ltd., received approval from the Ministry of Commerce People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM) to expand direct selling activities in eight additional provinces/municipalities within China.
The provinces/municipalities are Liaoning Province, Shandong Province, Shanxi Province, Sichuan Province, Guangdong Province, Dalian City, Qingdao City, and Shenzhen City.
These additional licenses add to BabyCare’s existing direct selling licenses in the municipalities/provinces of Beijing, Jiangsu, Shanxi and Tianjin.

USANA Q1 2016 Revenue Up 9.6 % To $240 Million

 
For the first quarter of 2016, net sales increased to a record $240.4 million, up 9.6%, compared with $219.4 million in the prior-year period.
A stronger U.S. dollar negatively impacted net sales by $14.2 million in the first quarter of 2016. On a constant currency basis, net sales increased by 16.1%. 
The Company delivered this growth notwithstanding a challenging prior year comparable due to (i) incremental sales during the first quarter of 2015 from a significant incentive that was offered during that period but was not offered again in the first quarter of 2016, and (ii) incremental sales during the first quarter of 2015 ahead of price increases in China, which did not occur again in the first quarter of 2016.

USANA Announces Proposed Expansion Of Its Board of Directors

 
USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: USNA) recently announced that it is proposing to shareholders the election of three new members to its Board of Directors at its Annual Shareholder Meeting on May 2, 2016.
The proposal would increase the size of the Board to seven directors and expand the breadth of expertise, backgrounds and viewpoints of the Board. David A.
