Network Marketing Incentive Contracts, Is It Ethical?

In recent events, Herbalife has come under fire due to their product/distributor ratio and the DSA has come under fire from Avon, due to their forward moving direction. Avon indirectly accused the DSA of protecting Herbalife. However, a very little known fact, hidden deep within the industry is network marketing incentive contracts,  a much bigger issue within the industry than a distributor vs customer ratio as Avon claims.
Incentive contracts are given to top income earners to sign up with a company to create headline news, creating a buzz inside the industry as many start to question why said person has signed up with said company. It is never revealed that the underlying reason is a contract, often in the form of financial incentives (monthly salaries that ranges between $5,000-$50,000 a month) to a percentage of all sales to exclusive tool sales to an already built team. The incentive is given because the leader will need an income in order to leave their current company and maintain their lifestyle. Otherwise, how would they?
Once the contract is accepted the leader will announce they’re leaving and sign up with their competitor, creating excitement and buzz with the new company that just signed such an established person. Where the controversy

Over $22 Million In Combined Earnings Among Visalus’ Three Top Earners

There’s no doubt that passion, purpose and goodwill can get you far in life. With Visalus, it can possibly be a multi-million-dollar-earnings kind of far.
Recently, three of Vi’s top earners achieved over $22 million in combined earnings with the company. Global Ambassadors Nick & Ashley Sarnicola celebrated the $10-million mark, while Global Ambassadors Jason & Jennifer O’Toole and Crown Ambassador Kyle Pacetti each earned over $6 million… all in less than five years.
For these three top industry leaders, their multi-million-dollar earnings are a testament to their passion and unwavering commitment to transforming millions of lives through Vi.

“I became a promoter for Vi as a Co-Founder to prove what can be done in this company. The model, products, and the people hands down are the best in the business. Anyone with unlimited desire and willingness to grow can achieve this milestone one day as well,” said Nick.

As for Kyle, who will be celebrating his fifth year with Vi next year, helping more than half a million people take on The Challenge and helping others gain financial freedom is success all on its own.
“If we believe in our company, believe in the mission and believe in ourselves, then that belief can help us achieve greatness,” Kyle said.

SEC Sends Accusations Of Herbalife Insider Trading

The hedge fund world occasionally crosses a legal line when gleaning information from corporate insiders. Now, a federal investigation into Herbalife and the traders who traffic in the company’s stock reveals that hedge funds themselves produce insider secrets.
Stretching the boundaries of insider trading law, the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday accused two men of possessing confidential information about a hedge fund’s plan to bet against Herbalife. One of the men, Filip Szymik, settled the case; his friend and co-defendant, Jordan Peixoto, did not.
Mr. Szymik’s problems, first detailed in a New York Times article in May, began when he learned that the billionaire William A. Ackman was planning to announce a bearish view of Herbalife, a giant diet supplements company. Mr. Szymik had an unlikely source: his roommate was a junior employee at Mr. Ackman’s hedge fund. The roommate, who did not himself trade in Herbalife, is not accused of any wrongdoing.
The S.E.C. pursued Mr. Szymik, a 29-year-old former collegiate tennis star, even though he did not trade either. Instead, according to the S.E.C., Mr. Szymik shared the insight with another friend, Mr. Peixoto, who placed his own wager against Herbalife. When Mr. Ackman announced a $1 billion bet against Herbalife, a move
