Avon Has Breakthrough In Skincare Research

 
A team of research scientists from the Avon Skincare Institute (ASI) presented a new breakthrough in anti-aging skincare at this week’s Summer Conference of The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), which represents the largest association of dermatologists in the country.

Dr. John Lyga, Director of Skin Bioscience and Dr. Uma Santhanam, Director of Cell Biology and Clinical Efficacy at ASI explained that their team has solved a key piece of the skin aging puzzle in their presentation of two posters, “Dynein is Necessary for Intracellular Transport of Both Nutrients and Autophagosomes in Human Dermal Fibroblasts” and “A role for Autophagy in Skin Aging.”

Stella & Dot Founders Launch Skincare Line

 
Since costume jewelry line Stella & Dot launched in 2003, it has grown into a massively popular mega-brand and changed the way we think about social selling programs. Now, with the launch of Ever, its much-anticipated anti-aging skincare line, the company is branching into the beauty world in a big way. 
The company, best known for statement necklaces sold through direct sales will widen its scope with the introduction of a skin-care regimen called Ever. The effort will stand alone as a separate selling opportunity, complete with its own starter kit for sales representatives, or “specialists.”

Amway India’s Focus On Skincare Expected To Bring 18% Growth

 
Amway India is betting big on its skin whitening range, which accounts for around 60 per cent of the Rs 7,500-crore skincare market.
The direct-selling FMCG company expects to clock an 18 per cent growth in its beauty brand Attitude on the back of its new “Be Bright” range of products. It will also invest Rs 20 crore on the marketing for Attitude, slated to be worth Rs 200 crore in three years.

“Beauty and personal care for Amway India is important. In India, the market for whitening is around 57-60 per cent of the total facial care market. We felt we were underrepresented. Our portfolio was not complete.
