Youngevity Distributors From 8 Countries Attend Asia Launch Event

Youngevity International, Inc. (OTCQX: YGYID) revealed that it held its first ever Asia Convention.
The event made possible via Youngevity’s recent acquisition of BellaVita was attended by corporate staff both from the USA and Asia along with hundreds of Youngevity Distributors from 8 countries including Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Hong Kong and China.
The convention was held in Taichung, Taiwan where Bellavita and Youngevity distributors came together for the first time to discuss the integration and expansion strategies of the combined companies.
Mike Brosnan, the founder of Bellavita and now the VP of Asia for Youngevity had this to say,

Valentus Opens In The Philippines

I caught up with John Haremza and asked what is new with Valentus, the company grew from $3 million in 2015 to $32 Million in 2016.
He told me that he just got back from the Philippines and that Valentus is officially open, on-the-ground and on-fire in the Philippines.
They kicked off with 2 big, very exciting meetings and countless smaller meetings plus special training sessions.
The events were organized by Terri Recknor, Director of International Registration.  In attendance were US Triple Diamond Leader Wrapeshell Alderson, Diamond Leaders Howard Zabner and Amy Greenfield and Blue Diamond John Haremza.
John reports that this was an incredibly successful launch that started at the Radison Blu in Cebu with close to 500 in attendance and another meeting at the Crown Plaza in Manila with over 400 in attendance.

Amway Invests $1.5 Million In Philippines

 

Michigan-based Amway, is strengthening its operations in the Philippines by investing an additional $1.5 million. The money will be used to upgrade facilities and infrastructure to support the market, which Amway believes has the potential for significant growth.
According to Amway Philippines Country Manager Elenita Olmedo, declining poverty incidence and rising incomes is making the Philippines an upper-middle income country, providing more opportunities for retailing, especially for consumer goods in the fast-growing categories of health and wellness, beauty and home care.
“The Philippines is in a unique position to provide a fertile testing ground for some new ideas for Amway,” said Amway Philippines Country Manager Elenita Olmedo. “Our economy is currently among the fastest growing in Southeast Asia and has been on this stable trend in recent years.”

Philippines SEC Tightens Regulations To Curb Pyramid Schemes

 
The Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will tap local government units (LGUs) as part of the government’s intensified campaign against investment scams, amid the proliferation of get-rich-quick schemes in the country.

“SEC will engage LGUs in coordination with DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government) because companies, firms have to secure first business permits from LGUs before they can operate in localities,” said Armando A. Pan, Jr., officer-in-charge of the SEC Office of the Commission Secretary, in a text message on Sunday.
“So LGUs have to be watchful to ensure that businesses operating in their jurisdiction are legitimate,” Mr. Pan said.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its Consumers’ Protection and Advocacy Bureau, and the SEC, through its Enforcement and Investor Protection Department, has instituted measures to warn the public against pyramid

AIM Global Marks Anniversary With World’s Largest Human Smiley

 
Alliance In Motion (AIM) is celebrating its 9th anniversary in Bocaue in the Philippines this week and has set a record for the largest human smiley formation recorded by the Guinness World Records.
A total of 6,667 distributors of AIM Global gathered at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila to beat the previous record of 4,047 participants achieved by Smile Hypermarket (Qatar) in Doha, Qatar, on 27 March 2015.

Philippines Task force Uncovers 43 Suspected Ponzi firms

 
The Philippines Anti-Investment Scam Task Force, a multi-agency body composed of representatives from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Trade and Industry, National Bureau of Investigation and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, has discovered that at least 43 companies in the Cordillera region have used Ponzi schemes in luring victims to invest millions of pesos over the past several years.
SEC director for Baguio lawyer Annie Gonzales Tesoro said that 12 of the companies were registered with the commission as engaged in trading. The rest are listed with the Department of Trade and Industry; the rest are not registered at all. 
The task force has filed 19 multiple estafa charges against Three Angels General Merchandise manager Sukil-ap Pagaduan following complaints that the company collected P2 million from its investors and then closed
