Herbalife Executive Receives 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Award

 

The man heading up Herbalife’s transition to self-manufacturing was recently honored with a 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Award.
For the past 12 years, the Manufacturing Leadership Awards have recognized companies and individuals shaping the future of global manufacturing.
Herbalife’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Manufacturing and Engineering, Joseph Plunkett, P.E., received a “Visionary Leadership Award” during the program’s Manufacturing Leadership Summit earlier this month in Carlsbad, California.
Plunkett has been with Herbalife since 1998, but more recently he has overseen the company’s $250 million push to bring the majority of its manufacturing in house. Six years ago, Los Angeles-based Herbalife was manufacturing about 4 percent of its health supplements and shakes.
Today, the company manufactures nearly 70 percent of its products.

Using the bank of mum and dad for business funding

The bank is often the first port for call small companies go to when seeking business funding, but could there be a solution closer to home.
Other start-ups may use crowdfunding or even the Enterprise Investment Scheme, but are small businesses missing out on the untapped wealth of the Bank of Mum and Dad.
Research by insurer Legal & General claims the Bank of Mum & Dad, where homebuyers borrow money from their parents to get on the property ladder, is now worth £5 billion.
The research finds parents will help finance 25 per cent of mortgage transactions this year at an average amount of £17,500.
That amount of cash could go a long way for a small business. Getting money from a family member is also likely to be a quicker process and hopefully you will be charged very little or nothing at all for the credit.
So what could you offer the Bank of Mum and Dad in return?

In the past, the most common method for citizenship was through naturalisation. But that took time. Years to be exact. Nowadays, buying citizenship has become the norm. You do this through a small one time monetary payment to the country you want to become a citizen in or you purchase real estate for a certain dollar amount. Yes, it really is that easy.
