Clearly, Manuel has taken that quote literally. Manuel lives in Fresno, California with his three daughters, ages 11, 16 and 17. He immigrated from Mexico when he was 24 years old and since then, he has held a wide range of jobs to support himself and his children, including a construction worker, truck driver and a fruit picker before Vida Divina.
Manuel tells a story that had dramatic impact on his life, one that has driven him to succeed ever since.

“One day At my worst moment of my life, I picked up my daughter from school and on the way home we passed by a McDonalds. My daughter was hungry and asked to stop for a hamburger. After reaching into my pocket, I realized that I was unable to afford even this meager request of a Dollar burger.
