Beautycounter Terminates All MLM Distributors, Shutting Down

Beautycounter founder and CEO Gregg Renfrew left the company in January 2023. In 2022, Beautycounter named Marc Rey as CEO while Renfrew became the company’s Executive Chair and Chief Brand Officer. In June 2023, Mindy Mackenzie has been appointed interim chief executive officer.
In a review about the company we noticed that Beautycounter failed to regularly offer press releases, lacks transparency in its financial matters, and doesn’t boast well-known top earners with clear visibility.
In a confidential email to its distributor force Beautycounter stated today:
“Dear Brand Advocate,

This email constitutes written notice of the termination of your Brand Advocate Agreement with Counter Brands, LLC (d/b/a Beautycounter) (the “Company”), effective as of April 17, 2024 (the “Termination Date”).
In connection with a sale, the Company is shutting down its operations and intends to wind-down and dissolve in the near-term. You will receive payment of all accrued and unpaid commissions through the Termination Date, and you shall otherwise have no further rights to any bonuses, commissions, or other compensation tollowing the Termination Date.
Payment is expected to be made on or about April 26, 2024. From and after the Termination Date, you shall not hold yourself out as a Company brand advocate or as

FTC: Vemma Temporarily Shut Down For Running Pyramid Scheme

 
AP Reports: The Federal Trade Commission said Wednesday that Vemma Nutrition has been temporarily shut down for operating a pyramid scheme that promised college students riches if they sold its nutritional drinks, but most ended up losing money.
The consumer protection agency said that Vemma told recruits that they could make as much as $50,000 per week selling its nutritional beverage Vemma, energy drink Verge or protein shake Bod-e. An initial investment of $600 was paid for products and business tools and $150 in Vemma products had to be bought each month to receive bonuses. The FTC said Vemma provided little help on how to sell its products and instead rewarded them for recruiting more people.
Vemma earned $200 million a year in 2013 and 2014, according to the FTC.

Wake Up Now – Going Out Of Business

As reported earlier about Wake Up Now (WUN) by Business For Home on May 2014, about WUN financial concens,  in October 2014, CEO Kirby Cochran stepped down,  29 Januari Wake Up Now was looking for a new investor and not paying out commissions, blaying the payment processor, it seems the company is going out of business.
The company denied earlier they were having commission payment problems however if you read WUN top earner Eric Turner statement, Business For Home was on spot.
Ten thousands of distributors are left in the dust.
Master Distributor Brandon Boyd stated on January 30:
We have never had a better back office, better compensation, better shipping, better packages, and more focused management than we have right now. We are primed between Feb. and March to be stronger than ever before in a big way. I am extremely encouraged about our future and what is about to be released next week.
However on 9 February Brandon Boyd left the company:
“As of today, after (5) years, I have made the decision to leave WUN. Its time to take my talents elsewhere.”
