QNET Advocates For Financial Literacy In Women

QNET is proud to partner with the Foundation for The Support of Women’s Work (KEDV) in Istanbul, Turkey, to improve financial literacy among women.
The partnership is part of QNET’s signature financial literacy programme, FinGreen, which aims to foster financial autonomy and inclusion for vulnerable groups, such as women, by addressing knowledge gaps and empowering individuals to make informed financial decisions.
Financial literacy, or the ability to understand and effectively use financial tools, is key to making informed decisions for one’s economic well-being over the long term.
QNET believes that financially literate individuals can experience a better quality of life and financial resilience as they know how to handle their personal finances, plan for the future, and recover from economic shocks or distress. The OECD’s 2020 International Survey of Adult Financial Literacy highlighted an imbalance in financial literacy rates between genders, where men have statistically greater financial knowledge than women worldwide.
In Turkey, only 54 per cent of women have a bank account, compared to 83 per cent of men, making it one of the most significant gender gaps in financial literacy and inclusion in a developing economy. This stems from various social and structural barriers, such as:

Many women not opening a personal bank

QNET Launches Direct Selling Disinformation Centre

QNET, an award-winning direct selling company headquartered in Hong Kong, has announced the launch of the Direct Selling Disinformation Center (DSDC) to combat the proliferation of disinformation and misinformation about the direct selling industry and its brand.
The Centre will work across the direct selling industry to ensure best practices are followed, including transparency, realistic expectations of partners, and accurate product descriptions and claims.
At the same time, the DSDC will collaborate with relevant stakeholders in government and trade bodies, and regulators, to educate them about the business model, its potential, and its impact on the economy.
In the initial phase, the DSDC will have a real-time incident reporting function that will allow anyone in the world to raise a red flag if QNET’s business, products or opportunities are misrepresented as an investment scheme or promoted through improper sales tactics, including on social media.
The objective in the longer term is to scale the DSDC to make it available to other companies in the industry.

According to Trevor Kuna, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer of QNET,
“Direct selling is a well-established and strictly regulated industry in many advanced economies. In the US, for example, the business model originated over 100 years ago, and it’s regulated by the Federal Trade

From its founding as the first direct selling company to go 100% online in 1998, QNET has established a solid reputation as a digital pioneer. The company was an early adopter of digital currencies like Bitcoin, making its products and opportunities more accessible to more people. And it is a leading

Millennials: The New Force In Direct Selling

This established business model is becoming the answer to employment for Generation Y.
Born between 1981 and 1996, most millennials cannot remember a time before the internet, smartphones, and social media. They are the first digital natives, growing up fluent in technology, constantly connected to an ever-shrinking world, and with instant access to more information than any previous generation.
Today, millennials and their younger counterparts, Gen Z, live lifestyles that revolve around their affinity for connectivity, cross-border social circles, and technological skills that have revolutionised how we act, communicate, and work.
For the first digital natives, the way they interact and perceive the world is vastly different compared to previous generations – this is especially so in the workplace, where millennials do not see their jobs as something they do for a paycheck.
Compared to previous generations, millennials do not expect to hold a stable job over their lifetime: they look for what feels worthwhile and can complement their values and lifestyle choices.
This diminishing interest in career stability in favour of personal development and work flexibility has led to the boom of many independent start-ups within the gig economy.
The direct selling industry, which is perhaps the oldest type of gig business that relies on
