Nutrilite To Revitalize Amway Thailand Growth

Amway (Thailand) Co, a leading multi-level direct sales company, expects its sales this year will grow by 5% to 17.2 billion baht.
That growth is higher than the overall industry projection, which is forecast to grow only 3% this year after two years of flat growth because of the economic downturn and people’s low purchasing power.
Kittawat Ritteerawee, the company’s managing director, said the growth of Amway Thailand is being driven by Nutrilite food supplement. There is high demand as Thais are more concerned about their health and well-being.
“Sales of Nutrilite products grew 15% in the first nine months of this year, up from single-digit growth on average during the past few years,” he said.
This will make the sales contribution from Nutrilite rise to 51% of the company’s total sales this year, compared with

Amway Helps Stanford In First-Ever Study On Diet And Lifestyle

A new, first-of-its-kind research study was announced today that will analyze how changes in diet and lifestyle can impact long-term wellness and contribute to healthy aging.
Conducted by the Stanford Prevention Research Center and funded through a $10 million unrestricted gift from the Amway Nutrilite Health Institute Wellness Fund, WELL aims to identify lifestyle and environmental factors that mayhelp  people maintain their health and wellness as they age. WELL will be designed, conducted, and analyzed by scientists at Stanford Prevention Research Center and will be entirely under the control of Stanford University with no involvement by Amway in these processes so as to safeguard investigative independence.
Funding WELL is one of several investments  the company is making to advance the science of wellness.
Last month Amway released the Global Phytonutrient Report, based on research commissioned by the Nutrilite Health Institute, which revealed that most adults fall short of consuming the recommended daily amount of fruits and vegetables.

“Nutrilite is focused on helping people  ‘close the dietary gaps’ that 60-87 percent of us experience due to lifestyle, food availability and other factors,” said Keith Randolph, Ph.D., nutrition technology strategist at the Nutrilite Health Institute and co-author of the research published in the British Journal of Nutrition. “WELL has the potential to help us

Amway Says We Aren’t Eating Enough Fruits And Vegetables

If you live in parts of Asia, you are more likely to eat the vegetables that bolster your heart health and strengthen your immunity — such as broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage — compared to Americans.
In the U.S., cruciferous veggies accounts for less than 6 percent of our diet, while in Japan or Korea, it’s closer to 30 percent.
But those living in the U.S. tend to lead the globe when it comes to consuming their citrus fruits, which account for about 30 percent of the produce in diets.
Leafy vegetables were 12 percent, which was the highest of any region studied.
These are some of the insights in a new global report on phytonutrients, bankrolled by Amway, which sells more Nutrilite brand vitamins and supplements than any other product category through its more than 3 million distributors.
The report is based on analyzing data from a World Health Organization survey, and U.S. Department of Agriculture databases.
The Nutrilite global phytonutrient research will appear in the September issue of theBritish Journal of Nutrition, an international, peer-reviewed journal of nutritional science.
The report, “Global assessment of select phytonutrient intakes by level of fruit and vegetable consumption,” is based on research commissioned by Amway’s Nutrilite Health Institute and is co-authored
