Italian Direct Sales Grew 5.3% To 802 Million In H1 2015

 
In Edward Scissorhands, the 1990 film by Tim Burton, Edward’s gothic mansion was discovered by a representative of Avon cosmetics, Peggy Boggs. Not surprising since the business of selling door to door is typically associated with the female world. Each of us, after all, has a friend, a relative or an acquaintance that has at least once proposed a product while comfortably seated on the sofa of their home.
The data just released by Univendita, the trade association that brings together companies involved in direct sales shows that this profession is primarily comprised of women in Italy. Direct sales professionals represent over 93% of all individuals involved in home businesses and at the end of June the sector employed more than 134,000 people.

Vorwerk Italy Reaches Record 504 Million Euro In 2014

 
Vorwerk Folletto, the Italian subsidiary of the Vorwerk Group, a leading European direct selling company has announced a turnover of 504 million Euros for 2014, a record number for the fifth consecutive year.
The numbers are up 1.1% compared to 2013 and the company says it’s their most successful year yet in Italy.
The Italian market remains the most important for the entire Vorwerk Group , a leading direct selling based in Germany, which has more than 40,000 distributors in 75 countries worldwide and in 2014 generated sales of 2.7 billion euro.

Italian Direct Selling Industry Q1 Turnover 130 Million Euros

 
AVEDISCO, the Italian Direct Selling Association has started 2015 with a very positive trend. With a turnover of 130 million euro in the first quarter and an overall increase of 17.83%, member companies of AVEDISCO began the year with a significant increase in turnover compared to the same period in 2014.
The data released by the center of studies and statistics at AVEDISCO, attests to the positive trend in the first quarter 2015, with the Food and Nutrition sector leading the growth with a turnover of 93.3 million euro, an increase of 21.95% over the same period last year.
The cosmetics and fashion accessories sector had a turnover of 11.3 million euros while the home and durable goods sector had a turnover of 10.7 million euros. The textile and services sector experienced significant growth at 20.89% and 18.8% increase respectively.

Italian MLM Evergreen Life Achieved 5.7 Million Sales In 2014

 
Evergreen Life Products, a manufacturer of food supplements and wellness products that are distributed through network marketing in Italy achieved 5.7 million Euro in sales in 2014 and is about to venture into US and Russia.
The brainchild of Livio Pesle the company was founded in 2010 and has launched a line of nutritional supplements and wellness products based on Olivum, an aqueous extract of olive leaves.
He found that despite the abundance of olive trees in Europe, the use of this plant as a food supplement was more widespread in Southeast Asia and the US, but primarily in the form of pills.  Evegreen offers it in liquid form in supplements, fruit jellies, face creams, cleansers and other products.

Italian Direct Selling Industry Revenues Increase To 1.3 Billion Euro

 
Italian Direct Selling Association Univendita closed 2014 with a turnover of associated companies amounting to 1.3 billion euro, an increase of 6.7% compared to 2013. The result continues a streak that began in 2010, the year the association was established. Since then member companies have experienced an average 30% growth.
The most dynamic segment was that of “durable household goods” with an increase of 7.3% and a market share of 66%, which also remains the most important sector of Italian direct selling.  This is followed by “food and consumer goods ” (+ 5.6%) and “cosmetics and personal care” (+ 4.5%). Significant growth was seen in the sector “other goods and services” (+ 14.4%) driven by excellent results of the travel and tourism industry.
