Infinitus Partners With Cambridge For International Research Centre

 
On 2 September, the Cambridge Infinitus Research Centre (CIRCE) was officially established by Chinese direct selling company Infinitus (China) Company Ltd, a member of LKK Health Products Group (LKKHPG), and the University of Cambridge. This collaboration marked Infinitus’ first academic partnership outside China.
The signing ceremony took place on the Cambridge campus. Mr. Tim Chun, Senior Vice President of LKKHPG, and Sir Leszek Borysiewicz, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, signed the cooperation agreement, and unveiled the plaque along with other representatives from both parties.
The Center is positioned as a world-class research platform which will fully incorporate Cambridge’s leading strengths in molecular cell biology with Infinitus’ profound accumulation in TCM healthcare after officially put into use. It aims to transform the cutting-edge research findings into innovative TCM health products.

China’s Direct Sales Market Growing 30% Annually

 
China’s direct sales market began with the entry of Avon in the 1990s. But the industry plunged into chaos with rampant pyramid schemes, prompting the government to ban the industry altogether in 1998. The ban was lifted in 2005.
Since the ban was lifted, direct marketing has expanded rapidly, with an average annual growth rate of 30 percent. China’s direct sales market is likely the world’s third or fourth biggest behind the United States, Japan and possibly South Korea, said Hu Yuanjiang, executive director for direct selling at China Health Care Association.
After 2005, the industry grew to employ 2.3 million salespeople within seven years. In 2012, the country had 32 licensed direct selling companies with combined sales of nearly 20 billion yuan ($3.2 billion), according to the Chinese Commerce Ministry.

Infinitus China to Take 12700 People to Thailand

 
Direct selling company Infinitus China is set to organize a gigantic tour group of 12,700 people to Thailand, a move that will smash the record set by another Chinese firm which sent 6,400 of its employees on a grand vacation to France earlier this month.
Infinitus will book 110 flights and 400 coaches for the trip, which is estimated to bring to Thailand a tourism income of 600 million baht (US17.89 million), Apple Daily reported Thursday.
The firm, a mainland subsidiary of Hong Kong-based food giant Lee Kum Kee, is said to be arranging the six-day tour of Bangkok and Pattaya as part of a rewards scheme for its employees.
