South African Miglio Designer Jewellery Expanding to Australia and New Zealand

South African jewellery supplier, Miglio Designer Jewellery has announced its official launch in Australia and New Zealand, as part of an international expansion.
CEO Jenny Miller said that after conducting extensive testing in the local industry, she was confident that the range had potential success within a retail environment.
Miller explained that the business had operated in Australia for the past five years under a direct selling method – similar to the party-planning concept adopted by companies like Avon and Tupperware.

“By adopting the direct selling model, we have been able to establish that there is a strong market for Miglio in Australia,” she said, adding that there had been significant demand for expansion into retail stores.
“Consumers today want to shop at the time that suits them and in the way that suits them. Giving

Avon’s Carrol Bradford Reaches Over $1 Million / Year In Sales, Convinces Husband To Become An ‘Avon Lady’

One of Australia’s most successful businesswomen says she fell into her dream job by complete accident.
Carrol Bradford was offering childcare services from her Brisbane home, when her sister begged her to ‘step in’ to look after her three Avon clients while she went on holiday.
Eight years on, Carrol boasts a team of 500 staff across the country. A team who helped her turn over $1.5 million in makeup and skincare sales this year alone.

‘I thought I’d try it myself as I needed the extra money and it just grew by word of mouth,’ she told Daily Mail Australia. ‘At first all I wanted was to get a hundred dollars of orders filled, I never dreamed it would become this big.’

Mrs Bradford, who had never travelled overseas before starting Avon, has since represented the Australian and New Zealand arms of the company at leadership events in Bangkok and Singapore.
‘For me, that was a real highlight I think, I’d not been anywhere before,’ she said.
She says a lot of her work has come through referrals and her online store – and through a lot of hard work.

‘We still do get-togethers at people’s homes but its really not just the little lady coming

Australian Organization Accuses Lyoness Of Being A Pyramid Scheme

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) will today begin its case against Lyoness, alleging it is operating a pyramid scheme.
Tony Zeaiter and Paul Maait each invested $3,000 in Lyoness to become premium members of the Australian arm of the company.

“When it launched in Australia, they said ‘You’ll have a minimum of 500 people under you, and you’ll get a percentage of whatever these people do’,” Mr Maait told the ABC.

“[They told us] ‘You don’t have to go out and sell, you don’t have to go out and recruit people. We will give you 500 people and, you know, you’ve really got it made if you get in at this time’.”

Mr Maait said both he and Mr Zeaiter were impressed with what they saw at the presentation about the company in Sydney.
“There was literally thousands upon thousands of people joining and when they told us like Woolworths were able to get six million people to join their rewards system, it was quite believable that this could actually happen,” he said.
But partnerships with major retailers such as Woolworths and Harvey Norman did not eventuate.
“They haven’t been able to deliver on the promises that they made to people like us in order

Lyoness Responds To Ponzi Allegations In Australia

Lyoness Australia has issued the next statement:
“Lyoness rejects allegations raised by the ACCC, and will vigorously defend the proceedings commenced by the Commission on 28 August.
Lyoness is a shopping community, customer loyalty program and network marketing business.
Benefits are exclusively generated by shopping activities within the Lyoness community. Members receive benefits when they shop, whether they introduce other members or not. Lyoness members may introduce members and receive benefits when the new member shops in the Lyoness community, but no benefits come from the introduction alone.
Lyoness has been active for 10 years and in none of the 46 markets in which it is active has Lyoness been found guilty of or convicted for operating a pyramid scheme.
Over four million members take advantage of the Lyoness benefits at over 40,000 loyalty merchants around the world. In Australia, there are now 780 Lyoness loyalty merchants, including many small and medium sized enterprises.
Lyoness is committed to full compliance with the law and to dealing honestly with Australian consumers.
Daily business is not affected. This court action has no effect on Lyoness members, loyalty merchants or staff, and Lyoness may be contacted by them in the usual way.
Since the proceedings are before the court, Lyoness

Australia Sues Lyoness With Pyramid Allegations

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has instituted proceedings against Lyoness International AG, Lyoness Asia Limited, Lyoness UK Limited and Lyoness Australia Pty Limited (together ‘Lyoness’) for operating a pyramid selling scheme and engaging in referral selling.
Although Lyoness has been investigated by regulators for conduct in other countries, this is the first court action taken against Lyoness alleging that the Lyoness Loyalty Program constitutes a pyramid scheme.
Pyramid schemes involve new participants providing a financial or other benefit to other existing participants in the scheme.  New participants are induced to join substantially by the prospect that they will be entitled to benefits relating to the recruitment of further new participants. Pyramid schemes may also offer products or services, but making money out of recruitment is their main aim, and often the only way for a member to recover any money is to convince other people to join up.  In contrast, people in legitimate multi-level marketing schemes earn money by selling genuine products to consumers, not from the recruiting process.
The ACCC alleges that Lyoness has operated the scheme in Australia from mid-2011 and that it continues to operate the scheme. The scheme offers ‘cash back’ rebates to members who shop through
