ItWorks! CEO Donates $3 Million To Michigan State University

 

Michigan State received a $3 million gift that will help support the men’s basketball program, according to a release from the university Thursday.
Mark and Cindy Pentecost’s donation will be used to update the men’s basketball offices, practice facilities and “establish an endowment for continued facility improvements,” according to the release.
The gift is one of the largest ever to Michigan State athletics, and is the third gift of $3 million or more received by the athletic department since the October 2014 public launch of the Empower Extraordinary, which according to the release is “enabling MSU athletics to build championship-level facilities, increase endowment support and elevate annual giving.”
“For many Spartans around the world, the men’s basketball program has been a source of pride and an engine of opportunity not only for the student-athletes in the program, but for the overall student experience on campus,” MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon said in the release. “We are so grateful to Mark and Cindy Pentecost for their vision and commitment to help us give ‘Team MSU’ the opportunity for continued excellence.”

Mary Kay Named Official Beauty Sponsor For 2015 ‘ACM Awards’

 
The Academy of County Music (ACM) has announced its partnership with Mary Kay as the official beauty sponsor for the 2015 “ACM Awards.”
“We are excited to partner with a Dallas icon and legendary beauty brand, Mary Kay, as we prepare for the largest celebration in Country music history,” said ACM SVP/Brand Integration and Strategic Partnerships, Teresa George.
“Music fans turned out in droves when tickets went on sale for the events and quickly became the fastest selling in the Academy’s history with 65,000 tickets sold in just 18 minutes. We’re looking forward to a warm welcome from Mary Kay and thousands of Country music fans in north Texas.”
The “50th Annual ACM Awards” will air live from AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas at 8p (ET/delayed PT) on SUNDAY, APRIL 19th on CBS-TV.

LifeVantage CEO Douglas C. Robinson Resigns

 
LifeVantage Corporation (LFVN) announced today the appointment of Dave S. Manovich, an independent director of the Company, as Executive Vice Chairman, effective immediately.
The Board and Douglas C. Robinson mutually agreed that Mr. Robinson will step down from his role as President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member, effective immediately. The Board has formed a search committee to identify a qualified candidate to serve as the Company’s next CEO.
Furthermore, the Board has created an interim Office of the President consisting of LifeVantage’s Senior Operational Officers to provide seamless leadership continuity and continued execution across the Company’s strategic initiatives and oversee day to day operations.
