USANA Q1 2016 Revenue Up 9.6 % To $240 Million

 
For the first quarter of 2016, net sales increased to a record $240.4 million, up 9.6%, compared with $219.4 million in the prior-year period.
A stronger U.S. dollar negatively impacted net sales by $14.2 million in the first quarter of 2016. On a constant currency basis, net sales increased by 16.1%. 
The Company delivered this growth notwithstanding a challenging prior year comparable due to (i) incremental sales during the first quarter of 2015 from a significant incentive that was offered during that period but was not offered again in the first quarter of 2016, and (ii) incremental sales during the first quarter of 2015 ahead of price increases in China, which did not occur again in the first quarter of 2016.

USANA Announces Proposed Expansion Of Its Board of Directors

 
USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: USNA) recently announced that it is proposing to shareholders the election of three new members to its Board of Directors at its Annual Shareholder Meeting on May 2, 2016.
The proposal would increase the size of the Board to seven directors and expand the breadth of expertise, backgrounds and viewpoints of the Board. David A. Wentz, Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Frederic J. Winssinger and Feng Peng have been nominated by the Board to stand for election at the Annual Shareholder Meeting. D.
Richard Williams, who was appointed to the Board in March 2016, will also stand for re-election at the Annual Shareholder Meeting, along with Dr. Myron W. Wentz, Robert Anciaux and Gilbert A. Fuller.

USANA – Q3 Sales Increased 21.5% To $233.3 Million

 
USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: USNA) today announced record financial results for its fiscal third quarter ended October 3, 2015.
Financial Performance
For the third quarter of 2015, net sales increased to $233.3 million, up 21.5% compared with $191.9 million in the prior-year period. The increase in net sales was driven by 39.2% growth in the number of active Associates and 15.6% growth in the number of Preferred Customers. Fluctuations in currency exchange rates negatively impacted net sales by $18.3 million year-over-year and $7.3 million on a sequential quarter basis. Third quarter net sales increased 31.1% year-over-year on a constant currency basis.

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) announced today the Aces for Humanity, a joint WTA and USANA Health Sciences initiative supporting the USANA True Health Foundation, has raised $25,000 this year toward the not-for-profit philanthropy whose mission is to provide the most critical human necessities to those suffering or in need.
Beginning at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, every ace served at a Premier-level WTA event translated into a dollar donation for the Foundation. For every ace served by the eight USANA Brand Ambassadors—Caroline Wozniacki, Eugenie Bouchard, Madison Keys, Monica Puig, Sloane Stephens, Samantha Stosur, Zhang Shuai and Zheng Saisai—the WTA contributed $10 to the campaign, while every ace served by any other WTA player translated into a $5 donation.  In sum, 435 aces were served by the eight USANA Ambassadors resulting in a donation of $24,220. The overall amount was increased to $25,000.
