Total Life Changes’ COO John Licari Talks New Regulations On Direct Marketers

Total Life Changes’ Chief Operating Officer John Licari was recently featured in Direct Selling News magazine’s cover story on the ways recent regulatory changes are forcing direct marketers to reexamine how they define customers versus distributors.
The Direct Selling News story interviews senior executives from some of the biggest companies in the sector to gauge their responses to the Federal Trade Commission’s move to censure network marketing giant Herbalife.
Herbalife lost over $200 million in distributor refunds when it was revealed the company could not prove what percentage of its product sales, if any, actually reached customers outside of its own network of distributors—in effect, the company implicated as a pyramid scheme in the eyes of the government.
A subsequent FTC ruling stated that 80% of Herbalife’s revenue must come from actual customers lest the company face further sanctions. While these regulations are specific to Herbalife, other companies have taken notice. This has forced companies like TLC to ensure that they have greater clarity about who their customers are, versus who their distributors are.
Licari considers this an opportunity for direct sellers to refocus on end user satisfaction. “If you lead with the product, you have a chance to make a business out of

National Director Nthati Makgalemela Earns More Per Month With TLC Than Per Year As An Architect

Around the world architects are as respected and, for the successful at least, well-compensated a profession as you can find. How is it then that Nthati Makgalemela has found herself earning more per month as a multi-level marketer with Total Life Changes than she did per annum as an architect in Johannesburg? To find out, we have to start at the beginning.
“I joined TLC on the fourth of November 2016, because I really needed a change in my life and was not happy with my financial situation,” Nthati recalls. “I had been in a previous [multi-level marketing] company for 10 days and only made $50. I left because the methodology was too complex and there was no real training.”
Fortunately, the experience didn’t sour her on the network marketing concept as a whole, and she was ready when her friend and fellow architect Khanya Cakata reached out to her about TLC. “He had gotten a call from Matthew Harris, who was looking to launch TLC in South Africa. I was looking for change too, and I dove in without a second thought. I was one of the first 10 people in South Africa to say yes.”

Total Life Changes Celebrates South African National Directors Moses And Dipuo Nasoro

“TLC found me,” Dipuo Nasoro answers when asked how she discovered Total Life Changes (TLC). “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”
Dipuo, a native South African, and her husband Moses, a Malawian, were raising a young son, and she was in need of work that would allow her to be a stay-at-home mom without worrying about money. When her sister-in-law Jean introduced the TLC opportunity to the couple, Dipuo felt as if the last puzzle piece had fallen into place. As for Moses, an accomplished networker, he immediately saw TLC’s moneymaking potential.
After just 19 days in business, the couple reached the rank of Director. “Once we decided to become IBOs (Independent Business Operators), it was just a matter of putting in an effort,” says Moses. “We were confident, based on what we’d learned about how TLC’s compensation works, that it would pay dividends.” Bootstrapping a new IBO always requires a few sleepless nights, but Moses and Dipuo were driven by a powerful Why.
“Even though we’ve only been with TLC since January of this year, we see it as an opportunity to help our country as a whole,” says Dipuo.
“We want to change things in South Africa one family at

National Director José Gregorio Brings Total Life Changes Opportunity To Dominican Republic

Any job that requires strong self-motivation to achieve success, from tree-planting to multi-level marketing, requires an equally strong “why” to fuel that self-motivation.
It’s one of the first questions many Total Life Changes sponsors ask their new signees: why do you want to achieve success; why are you willing to put in more work than the average person to succeed.
For recent National Director  José Gregorio that why can be traced back to his upbringing in the province of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic. One of the poorest and most crime-ridden provinces in the Dominican Republic, José sees in his own success a way forward for the people of San Cristóbal.
“I’ve had a number of different businesses over the years, and I’ve developed the majority of them here,” says José. “I am loyal to this place. With Total Life Changes, I’ve been able to become a pioneer in this region, and I can see the changes it has made in the lives of hundreds of my team members. The reason that TLC attracts so many true entrepreneurs is the fact that the compensation plan is flexible enough to allow you to earn based on your effort. You can be a network developer, a

“I Just Want To Show Others What’s Possible”: TLC Success Story Stephen Alan and Victoria Kimuyu

The success of Total Life Changes National Directors, husband and wife duo Stephen Alan and Victoria Kimuyu is testimony to the power of determination and positive thinking.
No achievement in the multi-level marketing industry comes without total commitment to the process, even in the face of considerable initial challenges. Although it only took Victoria two years to reach an income level of roughly $12,000 per month with TLC, those two years were a long and difficult road for the couple.
“Although we had success with retailing the products online, I wanted more,” Victoria recalls. “And to get more I needed to build a team. I struggled for all of 2016. We had built a system that not only retailed the tea for us, it also generated new leads every day.
And I still struggled with getting the right people on board that would stick. I couldn’t quite figure out why it wasn’t working.” Even during this period of hardship, the seeds of their eventual success were in place. Stephen was an experienced online marketer, with a passion for TLC products like Iaso® Tea and NutraBurst® that the couple themselves used at home.
“As Stephen once told me, this is a numbers game, it’s about

The innovative supplement has been clinically proven to support and improve a number of vital systems in the human body, including the central nervous system, immune system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, and sexual health. Entrepreneur Matthew Harris Brings International Brand Total Life Changes To South Africa

What were you doing in November 2016? If you’re lucky, in the eight months since then you might’ve gotten a raise or two. South African-born entrepreneur Matthew Harris partnered with Total Life Changes in November, and he’s received something of a raise himself, to the tune of $20,000… per week.
To learn how Matthew, now a Global Marketing Director at TLC alongside his wife Ilean, achieved such a dramatic success so quickly, we need to go back to where he was before he joined. Having been in the network marketing profession for a number of years prior, Matthew had recently decided to part ways completely with the profession and pursue other endeavors. But then a text message changed everything.
“I received a message from my cousin in Cape Town telling me my grandmother wasn’t doing well,” Matthew recalls. “I booked a flight from my home in Florida and flew back to see her. The whole way there, I prayed God would keep her alive just long enough for me to say ‘thank you’ and ‘I love you’ even one last time.”
Thankfully, Matthew was able to spend seven days with his grandmother before she passed away. For days afterward, friends and family would
