Growing Corn or Creating Leaders?

The leadership shift that turns six-figure earners into seven-figure builders.
By Bob Snyder
Two farmers owned adjoining fields of corn. The first farmer was known as Boss farmer. His fields were flawless. The rows were straight, the spacing perfect, the irrigation exact. Every inch of his farm reflected discipline and control. Workers followed his instructions carefully, and he inspected everything they did. Nothing escaped his eye. If his workers made mistakes, they were fired and replaced.
Next door lived another farmer. His fields looked… different. The rows wandered a bit. Some patches were overwatered while others looked slightly dry. From a distance, you could tell the field lacked the precision of Boss farmer’s corn fields.
Boss farmer eventually walked over to visit his neighbor, Dad Farmer. He pointed out the crooked rows. The uneven spacing. The imperfections in the crop. When he finished listing the problems, he shook his head and said, “You’d have a much better harvest if you ran this place properly.” The Dad farmer listened patiently. Then he smiled and said something the Boss farmer had never considered.
“Oh, I see the problem,” he said. “You think I’m growing corn.” He gestured toward the field where his five teenage sons were working.

Nikki Ribeiro: The New Face of Success at MWR Life

From navigating the chaos of Toronto to leading global teams in one of the most dynamic industries on the planet, Nikki Ribeiro’s journey is anything but conventional. Raised in the rush of city life and striking out on her own at just 17, she learned early on how to stand tall, even when the ground beneath her felt uncertain. That resilience became the foundation of a life that now inspires thousands.

“I discovered network marketing after walking away from a deeply toxic relationship,”

Nikki shares.

“I didn’t know much, but I knew I needed freedom. I needed options.”

What began as a desperate search for stability transformed into a purposeful career.
By 2015, Nikki was a six-figure earner. Not long after, she had built three multi-million dollar teams and crossed into seven-figure territory. But success, for her, was never the final destination. It was just the beginning.
As the world shifted, industries disrupted, inflation rose, and products became harder to move, so did Nikki’s vision.

“I was ready to expand. I was good at what I was doing, but I needed to think bigger,”

she says.

“I knew digital was the future. I wanted something global, something with longevity. And then it hit me: travel.

Jonny Wilkinson Q&A – ‘What is it you want from your team?’

Originally written by Sophie Wheeldon on Small Business
EXCLUSIVE: Rugby icon Jonny Wilkinson is responsible for probably the most exciting moment in the history of rugby, when he dropkicked the winning goal in the last minute of extra time in the final of the 2003 World Cup – handing England a dramatic victory over Australia.
These days Jonny Wilkinson has reinvented himself as a TV sports pundit, covering the Six Nations Championship and Rugby World Cup for ITV, as well as being a motivational speaker.
And he also runs his own small business, founding fermented health drink brand No.1 Living in 2018 to share his passion for what Jonny Wilkinson calls “living foods”, which offers a range of tinned Kombucha drinks, health shots and bottled kefir water.
Here Jonny Wilkinson tells Sophie Wheeldon about lessons he’s learnt about mental resilience, how to be a team leader and why it’s important to stay present.
How do you build mental resilience and stay mentally fit?
The idea of resilience belongs to a certain fixed identity that says, ‘this is who I am, these are my dreams. These things are right, and these things are wrong. This is success, and this is failure’.
