Nu Skin Q3 Sales Up 6% To $604 Million

 
Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: NUS) today announced third-quarter revenue above guidance at $604.2 million, compared to $571.3 million in the prior-year period. Quarterly revenue improved 6 percent, or 4 percent on a constant-currency basis.
Earnings per share for the quarter were $0.98 and included a $0.09 positive impact from closing operations in Venezuela. Earnings per share in the prior-year period were $0.28 and were negatively impacted by several factors, including a $0.43 per share inventory write down.

Herbalife Q3 Sales Up 5% To $1.1 Billion

 
Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE: HLF) reported third quarter 2016 volume growth of 6% and net sales of $1.1 billion, reflecting an increase of 2%, each compared to the prior year period.
Third quarter net sales, excluding the impact of currency, grew by 5%.
On a reported basis, third quarter 2016 net income was $87.7 million, or $1.01 per diluted share, compared to net income of $93.6 million or $1.09 per diluted share for the third quarter in 2015.
Adjusted1 earnings for the quarter were $1.21 per diluted share compared to $1.262 per diluted share for the comparable quarter in 2015. Due to currency fluctuations, third quarter 2016 reported and adjusted1 net income were each negatively impacted by $17.9 million, and reported diluted EPS and adjusted1 diluted EPS were each negatively impacted by $0.21.

USANA Q3 Sales Up 9% To $254 Million

 
USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: USNA) today announced financial results for its fiscal third quarter ended October 1, 2016.
Net sales for the third quarter of 2016 increased by 9.0% to $254.2 million, compared with $233.3 million in the prior-year period, but came in below the Company’s expectations due to softer-than-anticipated sales in the Greater China region.
The increase in net sales is attributed to a 12.6% increase in the number of active Associates and a 5.6% increase in the number of Preferred Customers. The continued strength of the U.S. dollar negatively impacted net sales during the quarter by $5.7 million.
