Staying Hydrated: A Key to Keeping Your New Year’s Resolutions
by Team Business For Home International • • 0 Comments
As we step into 2024, countless individuals worldwide have set new resolutions for the year. Yet, a startling statistic reveals that by February, about 80% of these resolutions fall by the wayside. Among the myriad reasons, one often overlooked yet crucial factor is hydration.
Adequate hydration is not just about quenching thirst; it’s a cornerstone of health. Studies show that staying well-hydrated aids in weight loss by enhancing satiety, boosts metabolism, and helps in reducing water retention.
More than just aiding in weight management, proper hydration is essential for maintaining energy levels, improving physical performance, and sharpening cognitive functions.
Take Janine from Wales, for example. Her resolution to exercise more was hindered by a lack of energy, a common issue that many face.
“I always felt too tired for the gym, leading to a cycle of guilt and lethargy,”
she shares. This scenario is not uncommon, and the quality of the water we drink plays a significant role.
According to the World Health Organization, contaminated water and poor sanitation are linked to transmission of diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid and polio. Absent, inadequate, or inappropriately managed water and sanitation services expose individuals to preventable health risks. Clean, safe water

by Team Business For Home International • • 0 Comments
QNET’s insightful YouTube video showcasing the impact of its financial literacy programme, Fingreen, has been honoured with a prestigious gold award at the 2023 MarCom Awards.
Titled “FinGreen: Seeding Financial Literacy for a Brighter Future,” the video shines a light on QNET’s FinGreen initiative, a peer-to-peer educational program designed to improve financial understanding in underprivileged communities.
The video opens with a striking statistic: only one in three adults worldwide possess financial literacy. It then elaborates on how FinGreen contributes to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals by addressing inequality and promoting decent work and economic growth opportunities.
Launched initially in Turkey and Nigeria in 2022, and expanding to Ghana in 2023, FinGreen primarily targets women and youth in developing regions.
“FinGreen is tailored for women and youth in emerging economies, “
says Malou Caluza, CEO of QNET.
“Historically, women have had limited access to financial services compared to men. Although mobile banking and payment platforms have recently improved accessibility, many still lack the essential knowledge for making informed financial decisions.”
According to experts at the International Federation of Accountants, individuals who lack financial literacy are more vulnerable to fraud, less likely to save their money, more likely to have a large amount of debt, and

This Plastic Free July, QNET Partners with VeryNile to Take On Plastic Waste in the River Nile
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
Global lifestyle and wellness-focused direct selling company QNET joined hands with the VeryNile foundation to clean and protect the vital waterways of the River Nile as part of its commitment to upholding sustainable values via its people and projects.
The joint initiative also supports the livelihoods of local communities and aligns with the global Plastic Free July movement, which focuses on plastic reduction campaigns that successfully stop around 300 million kilogrammes of plastic from polluting the environment each year.
The VeryNile initiative focused on Qursaya Island, where the ancient river flows between the modern metropolises of Giza and Cairo. Approximately 250 families from low-income backgrounds live and work here, keeping the centuries-old fishing tradition on the Nile alive.
However, the rise in pollution is threatening the rich heritage of the world’s longest river and the many livelihoods it supports, to the point where the Nile is one of the top rivers contributing to 90 per cent of plastic waste entering the world’s oceans today.
QNET partnered with Egypt’s pioneering environmental foundation, VeryNile, to remove over 5,000 kilograms of plastic waste from the waters around the Qursaya Island. VeryNile was established in 2018 as an initiative focused on creating sustainable means to clean
