USANA’s Kevin Guest Urges Leaders to Use Reading as Competitive Advantage in National Reading Month

Salt Lake City, UT – As businesses navigate accelerating change and increased market pressure, USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: USNA) Chairman and CEO Kevin Guest is spotlighting a powerful leadership tool during National Reading Month: disciplined, intentional reading.
National Reading Month, observed in March to promote literacy and lifelong learning, often emphasizes youth engagement. Guest believes its value extends far beyond the classroom and into the executive suite.

“Reading stretches your thinking. It challenges assumptions, builds clarity, and sharpens your ability to communicate. Those are leadership skills,”

said Guest, bestselling author of All the Right Reasons: 12 Timeless Principles for Living a Life in Harmony.
While some professionals may view the heightened focus on reading as routine, Guest argues the increased emphasis this month delivers measurable returns that compound over time. He calls reading “essential training for the executive mind,” strengthening mental discipline, improving analytical ability, expanding imagination, and boosting memory.
One clear value of reading, Guest highlights, is that studying and internalizing principles strengthens character and changes destiny.
In All the Right Reasons, Guest reflects on Benjamin Franklin’s commitment to tracking and living his core values.

“By writing, prioritizing, tracking, and clarifying his core values, Franklin understood them better and developed a path for integrating them

USANA Foundation Shares Holiday Cheer With Meals for Utah Students and Families

More than 5,100 food bags delivered to help support children during winter break
SALT LAKE CITY, UT — The holiday season is meant to be a time of celebration, yet for many children who depend on school meals, extended breaks can bring uncertainty. To help bridge that gap, the USANA Foundation – through its Utah-focused Kids Eat program – once again mobilized its annual holiday food pack initiative to help ensure families across Utah had access to nutritious meals while school was out of session.

This year, volunteers packed 5,143 food bags, delivering the equivalent of 205,720 meals in order to support 65 schools across Utah, from Logan to Payson. The total value of the bags amounts to more than $128,575 in gift in-kind donations. Each holiday bag, containing 40 meals, was assembled by USANA employees and executives alongside dedicated community and corporate volunteers.
The bags were distributed to sponsored schools statewide to help students and their families during the holiday break. In total, 632 volunteers from 158 families and organizations contributed 1,896 hours of service.

A New Era of Purpose: DreamTrips Celebrates 20 Years With the Return of Bottle Schools

As DreamTrips celebrates its milestone 20th anniversary and an exciting global re-launch, we’re proud to announce the return of one of our most meaningful partnerships — our renewed relationship with Hug It Forward, the grassroots organization behind Guatemala’s transformative Bottle Schools.
Where Sustainability Meets Community Power
Hug It Forward’s mission is simple yet powerful: they unite communities to build environmentally responsible classrooms using eco-bricks — plastic bottles packed with inorganic trash — turning waste into opportunity. By empowering local families to take part in every step of the building process, HIF not only creates sustainable educational spaces, but also sparks long-term awareness around trash management, environmental responsibility, and community ownership. Their work proves that when people come together, lasting change is possible.

A Legacy Written in Schools, Not Just Memories
And together, we’ve already proven just how big that change can be.
Over the past decade, DreamTrips members and Hug It Forward have built 150 Bottle Schools across Guatemala — one of the largest social impact legacies in the entire travel industry. These schools didn’t just open doors for children in rural communities… they opened hearts, shifted perspectives, and connected travelers to a deeper sense of global purpose.

“When People Travel With Intention, Incredible Things Happen.”
Zach Balle,
