Tupperware Brands Q2 Net Sales Down 7% To $535.4 Million

Orlando, Fla.-based Tupperware Brands recently reported its financial result for the second quarter of 2018. Net sales were $535.4 million, down 7 percent (4% local currency), including a 2-point impact from the 2017 closure of Beauticontrol and the combination of the NaturCare and Tupperware businesses in Japan.
Emerging markets, accounting for 71 percent of sales, were down 5 percent (even in local currency).
The operating units with the most significant local currency sales growth in the second quarter were China, Fuller Mexico, Tupperware Mexico and Tupperware South Africa.
The significant decreases were in Brazil, India and Indonesia. Established market sales decreased 10 percent (13% local currency), including a 6-point negative impact from the Beauticontrol closure and combination of units in Japan. The local currency sales decreases were most significant in France and Tupperware Australia and New Zealand.
Regional Sales
The company reported segment sales as follows:

Europe: sales were down 2 percent (4% local currency)
Asia Pacific: sales were down 2 percent (4% local currency)
North America: sales were down 4 percent (1% local currency), including a negative 7-point local currency impact from Beauticontrol wind-down
South America: sales were down 23 percent (7% local currency)

Young Living Foundation Raises $1 Million For Hope For Justice

The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation raised more than $1 million to help end modern slavery in Africa during the Young Living Foundation’s Ride for a Reason, Foundation 5k, and other activities at the Young Living Essential Oils 2018 International Grand Convention.
All funds raised will go to support Hope for Justice, a nonprofit that exists to bring about the end of modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives, and reforming society.

Reliv International Reports 2018 Q2 Net Sales Of $8.5 Millon

Reliv International, Inc. (NASDAQ:RELV), a maker of nutritional supplements that promote optimal health, recently reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2018.
Reliv reported net sales of $8.5 million for the second quarter of 2018 compared with net sales of $10.0 million in the second quarter of 2017. Net sales in the United States decreased to $6.3 million in the second quarter of 2018, which represented a 15.0 percent decline in net sales when compared to the prior-year quarter.
Net sales in Reliv’s foreign markets decreased 17.0 percent in the second quarter of 2018 compared with the prior-year quarter.  Net sales in Europe and Asia decreased by 21.2 percent and 10.5 percent, respectively, in the second quarter of 2018, along with decreases in all other regions except for Mexico.
Reliv reported a net loss for the second quarter of 2018 of $978,000 (loss per diluted share of $0.53) compared to a net loss of $520,000 (loss per diluted share of $0.28) in the second quarter of 2017. The loss from operations for the second quarter of 2018 was $940,000 compared to a loss from operations of $508,000 in the same period in 2017.

LifeVantage Q4 Sales Up 6.7% To $54.0 Million

LifeVantage Corporation (Nasdaq: LFVN) today reported financial results for its fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended June 30, 2018.
Fourth Quarter Fiscal 2018 Highlights:

Revenue increased 6.7% to $54.0 million year over year and 6.9% sequentially;
Revenue in the Americas increased 4.7% year over year and 6.6% sequentially. Revenue in Asia/Pacific & Europe increased 13.3% year over year and 7.8% sequentially;
Active independent distributors were consistent with the third quarter of 2018 and active customers increased 5.5% sequentially;
Adjusted EBITDA increased 58.8% year over year to $5.2 million;
Earnings per diluted share were $0.21, up from $0.01 in the prior year period; and
Adjusted earnings per diluted share were $0.20, up from $0.04 in the prior year period.

* All year over year growth rates compare the fourth quarter of fiscal 2018 to the fourth quarter of fiscal 2017. All sequential growth rates compare the fourth quarter of fiscal 2018 to the third quarter of fiscal 2018.

Natura Reports Strong Q2 Growth in All Brands – Revenue Up 13.6% to $3.1 Million

Sao Paolo, Brazil-based Natura & Co, the Brazilian beauty and cosmetics giant, recently reported results from the Q2 ended June 30, 2018. Revenue was up 13.6 percent to R$3.1 million from R$2.729 million in 2017.
Revenue growth was up in every brand: Natura, up 9.8 percent; The Body Shop, up 14.8 percent; and Aesop up 55.2 percent.

Nature’s Sunshine Reports 12% Increase In Q2 Net Sales To $91.3 Million

Nature’s Sunshine Products, Inc., the Lehi, Utah-based natural health and wellness company, recently reported its net sales for the second quarter ended June 30, 2018, increased 12.2 percent year-over-year to $91.3 million compared to $81.3 million in the second quarter of 2017.
“We generated strong second quarter sales growth compared to the prior year period, which combined with our focus on cost controls led to improvement in both net income and EBITDA compared to the prior year,” said Gregory L. Probert, chairman and chief executive officer.
According to the company, sales growth was primarily related to continued growth in Synergy Asia Pacific, NSP Russia, Central and Eastern Europe and NSP China, offset by a $1.0 million decline in net sales in NSP Americas and a $1.0 million decline in Synergy Europe.
In China, where Nature’s Sunshine is in the early development of direct selling operations, the company dedicated management resources to increasing the engagement of independent service providers over the past several months and will continue to focus on broadening its leadership and driving a long-term growth opportunity in the market.
