Cannabidiol Oil Company Stops Sales To Canada
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
HempWorx, a Las Vegas-based multi-level marketing company, has recently suspended sales of CBD oil in Canada after a News investigation revealed its product is illegal and is not authorized for sale in Canada, according to Health Canada.
The product was popular in the alternative medicine world because many believe CBD oil — which does not get you high like regular pot — has wide-ranging health benefits. However, CBD is a controlled substance like marijuana, which is illegal without a prescription.
In early May, the company sent out an email to affiliates announcing it was “temporarily suspending HempWorx from sale in Canada until licensing has been awarded by Health Canada.”
It is not clear what type of licensing the company was seeking from the health regulator but the email said it made the application nine months ago. The company acknowledged the problems this could cause for its Canadian affiliates who were building their HempWorx businesses.
“This may be not-so-great news, and we are committed to making things right for you,” the email said. “Canadians will not get purged from the system for not meeting active order requirements.”
The company told affiliates the shut-down to the Canadian market was “due to the increasing demand to bring HempWorx products to Canada and our commitment to

by Ted Nuyten • • 0 Comments
Representatives of the parent company of Longaberger have been ordered to appear in a Columbus courtroom to show how they will pay more than $2 million.
The order was issued by Franklin County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark Serrott last week and orders John P. Rochon, John Rochon Jr. or other representatives from JRJR Networks, the parent company of Longaberger, to appear on June 8.
The order was in response to a motion by Tami Longaberger‘s attorneys seeking information on payment of more than $2 million she was determined to be owed earlier this year. More than $1.2 million of the money owed is for Longaberger’s salary, as well as an additional $608,000 in deferred salary.
Longaberger had sued to be reimbursed for a loan she had given prior to her resignation from the company in 2015. JRJR Networks, previously known as CVSL, had purchased a majority ownership of Longaberger in 2013.
In early May, Longaberger’s attorney had filed a motion requesting JRJR representatives appear in court to determine how they will pay the money owed. Serrott granted the motion and set a hearing for June 8. At the hearing, a representative for JRJR will have to discuss the payments, revenues, assets, bank accounts or other

Chinese Authorities Arrest 119 OneCoin Leaders, $7.1 Million Seized From Sebastian Greenwood, $2.4 Billion Involved
by Ted Nuyten • • 0 Comments
According to leading chinese website Sixthtone.com:
“Police in central China’s Hunan province recently cracked a digital currency pyramid scheme crime involving 15 billion yuan ($2.4 billion) and arrested 119 suspects, a local television station reported Monday.
Founded by a Bulgarian woman, Ruja Ignatova, OneCoin entered China in September 2014. Though it is promoted as a cryptocurrency, it operates a private blockchain, unlike popular rivals like bitcoin, which uses a transparent public ledger.
In December of last year, the Zhuzhou Intermediate People’s Court in Hunan ruled that OneCoin was an illegal pyramid scheme — a multilevel marketing business that raises profits primarily by recruiting new investors. The verdict also revealed that the organization had charged membership fees of 1,000 to 280,000 yuan. Law enforcement confiscated more than 1.6 billion yuan from the criminal network.
The phenomenal growth of cryptocurrencies over the past few years has attracted millions of investors while also creating opportunities for criminals to take advantage of hype around the technology.
Zhuzhou police were tipped off about OneCoin as early as March 2016, and in December the same year, state broadcaster China Central Television warned the public that OneCoin was one of more than 60 virtual currencies that exploited the concepts of blockchain technology
