When it comes to finding success in this life, much is out of the individual’s hands: luck, talent, privilege, connections. But one factor that can sometimes shift the balance is pure hard work.
In 2012, at just 17, Jason Rodriguez was already taking his first shot at working in multi-level marketing (MLM). When that initial experience didn’t work out, he ended up slogging through rough 12 hour days at minimum wage. But unlike many teens, Jason expected more, and was willing to take risks to get there.
The Dominican Republic is a populous country, but in many ways the island is also very small. Jason discovered Total Life Changes when his mother was invited by a family friend to a meeting, and he counts Global Directors and above like José Luna, Julio Lama, Ana Cantera and Stormy Wellington as acquaintances. Once he’d accepted the TLC opportunity, his charmed first week was a harbinger of the success to come.
“My first 48 hours were very surprising given that I’d had no previous success in the industry,” says Jason. “I managed to enroll my first two people to become binary qualified. By my ninth day in the business, I’d become a Director and made a

Total Life Changes’ 50% Commissions The Difference-Maker For New National Director Phillip Squires
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
“I joined TLC on July 5, 2014,” Phillip Squires recalls. He doesn’t need to consult his records to make sure he has the date right. “I still remember like it was yesterday.” According to Squires, it’s the day he found his true calling, one that would take him all the way to the National Director rank with multi-level marketing company Total Life Changes.
“My sponsor was Phillip Birchfield,” Squires says. The two Phillips had worked together at a previous company and hit it off thanks to a shared interest in health and entrepreneurship. “Phillip [Birchfield] called and invited me to his house because he had something to show me. He sat me in front of his computer and showed a presentation. Like anyone with a television, I know how many people are desperate to lose weight, which is why so many MLM businesses focus on health products. I have confidence in my ability to sell, and thought to myself, if it’s as good as product as they say it is, I’ll have no problem. But what I was really impressed with was the compensation plan. In our last company, the largest residual percentage was 8%. When I saw that TLC paid

Total Life Changes Keeps Arkansas Couple Physically And Financially Healthy After 60
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
Aging brings with it serious physical and financial challenges. Little Rock, Arkansas couple Nina and Bill Francis know a little about both. As they approached their 60s, they found themselves bankrupt and facing few prospects of success in their multi-level marketing business. Worse, Nina had recently lost an older sister to cancer and an older brother to a stroke. With her mind on ways to improve their financial outlook while maintaining her health, she was primed for the opportunity Total Life Changes presented.
“We had been in another network marketing company a number of years ago with Phillip T. Birchfield,” Nina recalls. “While we did not personally know each other at the time, I really gravitated to his unique way of connecting with people and his desire to help.” Nina had lost her main job thanks to the recession, and they were also feeling the sales sting in their MLM business. In the interim, Phillip had already become a Regional Director with TLC, and was well on his way to the Global Director rank he holds today.
“I’d spoken with Phillip a few times about TLC, and he’d been checking in with me over a period of five months, asking me to

Cooking Up Something New: Ecuadorian Chefs Earn $15,000 USD Per Month With Total Life Changes
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
Becoming a professional chef takes passion, discipline, hard work and good taste. It’s a calling as much as a career, but sometimes life gets in the way of pursuing your dreams. That was the situation for Fermín and Belen de Vera of Guayaquil, Ecuador. Unemployed due to the economic problems their country faced, the couple turned to Total Life Changes as a means of supplementing their modest income.
Though TLC was never intended to be their primary occupation, after the devastation wrought by the 2016 earthquake, Fermín and Belen doubled down on their commitment. Recently promoted to the rank of National Director, TLC has given the couple new dreams.
Fermín and Belen were amateurs in the network marketing industry. They had tried their hand with other companies in the past without earning a penny, but TLC seemed different. They followed TLC Global Director Ana Cantera on social media. Intrigued by TLC’s products, and the opportunities Ana wrote about, the de Veras reached out online and Cantera became their sponsor.
Sponsors play an important role in helping new Independent Business Owners (IBOs) establish themselves—for the de Veras, this relationship was complicated because Cantera wasn’t even in the same country. Little by little though, these

I Have An Answer! 70-Year-Old Total Life Changes National Director Gets New Lease On Life
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
One of the beautiful things that Total Life Changes (TLC) brings into the lives of its Independent Business Operators (IBOs) is the ability to break out of the molds life can impose on us. At age 68, many seniors feel as though it’s no longer possible to change course, that things are the way they always will be, for good or ill.
Suzanne Ramsel of Little Rock, Arkansas scorns this kind of thinking. Since joining TLC in June of 2015, Suzanne has risen to the rank of National Director, filling her golden years with green and feeling healthier than she has in years.
At TLC, one of the most important questions an IBO can ask of themselves is Why. Why the hard work for an uncertain reward? Why do I feel confident enough in this product to recommend it to friends and family? “My Why keeps changing,” says Suzanne. “I am 70, I feel amazing. I never want to be a grouchy old lady that doesn’t feel good. I love my energy, I love sharing and caring for others and yes of course I love the financial aspect of this company.”
A grandmother of 15, Suzanne needs that energy to look after

National Director Nthati Makgalemela Earns More Per Month With TLC Than Per Year As An Architect
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
Around the world architects are as respected and, for the successful at least, well-compensated a profession as you can find. How is it then that Nthati Makgalemela has found herself earning more per month as a multi-level marketer with Total Life Changes than she did per annum as an architect in Johannesburg? To find out, we have to start at the beginning.
“I joined TLC on the fourth of November 2016, because I really needed a change in my life and was not happy with my financial situation,” Nthati recalls. “I had been in a previous [multi-level marketing] company for 10 days and only made $50. I left because the methodology was too complex and there was no real training.”
Fortunately, the experience didn’t sour her on the network marketing concept as a whole, and she was ready when her friend and fellow architect Khanya Cakata reached out to her about TLC. “He had gotten a call from Matthew Harris, who was looking to launch TLC in South Africa. I was looking for change too, and I dove in without a second thought. I was one of the first 10 people in South Africa to say yes.”

TLC National Director Lebogang Dube An Example Of New “Generational Success”
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
Success for a multi-level marketer depends on finding team-members committed to their own success. Africa remains fairly new territory for Total Life Changes, but already examples are appearing on the continent of what might be considered a new form of generational success.
Africa’s first Independent Business Operator (IBO) to reach the rank of National Director was Onthatile Makagalamele. Among the many IBOs she sponsored was her childhood friend Busiswe Mashele, who became a National Director in her own right. And now Lebogang Dube, one of Busiswe’s finds, has achieved the same rank. That’s three successive waves of talented African women achieving their goals in barely a year’s time.
It doesn’t take long speaking to Lebogang to understand she is an intelligent woman with strong ideals. Growing up in Ivory Park, a densely-populated district in east Johannesburg, means she also faces strong challenges. While Lebogang calls Ivory Park “very dusty,” others more routinely cite the poverty and housing shortages endemic to the area. Lebogang believes the answer to her neighborhood’s problems is education.
“I believe that my degree is here for me to help others through education, not just as a teacher but by getting them through their schooling. My passion is for the

Zee Walasa From South Africa Achieves National Director Rank At TLC
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
Although Zee Walasa only joined TLC in January of 2017, she has already achieved the rank of National Director and an average monthly salary hovering around $25,000. Like many of TLC’s IBOs, Zee’s first encounter with the brand was as a consumer.
“All I wanted was the tea,” she recalls with a smile.
“I just needed to lose weight and wasn’t interested in the business aspect at all. I had promised myself that I would never get into these network marketing schemes.”
But, as fate would have it, Chanita Foster, the American she contacted about purchasing Iaso® tea, was visiting South Africa and brought her the products in person.
“I was instantly thrilled by the quality of what she’d given me, and curious about how the sales side worked,” she says. The relationship the two women forged resulted in Zee joining TLC with Chanita as her sponsor.
Chanita, whom Zee sometimes refers to affectionately as “Coach,” helped her get her local business started. “I wasn’t quite sure what I’d gotten myself into, as I had never done network marketing before. I had my first tea party right away. Coach Chanita came into my living room and did the presentation for me. I had over 30

National Director José Gregorio Brings Total Life Changes Opportunity To Dominican Republic
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
Any job that requires strong self-motivation to achieve success, from tree-planting to multi-level marketing, requires an equally strong “why” to fuel that self-motivation.
It’s one of the first questions many Total Life Changes sponsors ask their new signees: why do you want to achieve success; why are you willing to put in more work than the average person to succeed.
For recent National Director José Gregorio that why can be traced back to his upbringing in the province of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic. One of the poorest and most crime-ridden provinces in the Dominican Republic, José sees in his own success a way forward for the people of San Cristóbal.
“I’ve had a number of different businesses over the years, and I’ve developed the majority of them here,” says José. “I am loyal to this place. With Total Life Changes, I’ve been able to become a pioneer in this region, and I can see the changes it has made in the lives of hundreds of my team members. The reason that TLC attracts so many true entrepreneurs is the fact that the compensation plan is flexible enough to allow you to earn based on your effort. You can be a network developer, a

Like Father Like Daughter: Total Life Changes National Director Jacqueline Birchfield
by Nicole Dunkley • • 0 Comments
Four years ago Jacqueline Birchfield of Fort Wayne, Indiana was deeply unhappy. At 21, she was a single mother of a one year-old, in denial of being overweight despite her usual dress size being higher than her age.
She avoided mirrors and the feminine clothes she had previously favored, refused to leave the house except for essentials.
“I was working for a company that timed our bathroom breaks,” Jacqueline recalls. “If we took more than three and a half minutes we were subject to discipline.”
There’s no telling how long matters might have gone on this way for Jacqueline if fate, in the form of her father Phillip’s new business venture, hadn’t interceded.
“My father has worked in multi-level marketing for over 20 years, and while he always managed to provide for us, he somehow never really got ahead. So when he started talking about this new company Total Life Changes, I didn’t really pay it any mind at first.” It wasn’t long though before she began to realize that TLC was something different.
“My father has sworn up and down that he was going to lose weight my whole life, but it just never happened,” says Jacqueline. “I think it has a lot to
