Plexus Worldwide Named Fastest Growing Co in Arizona

 
Plexus Worldwide, the Scottsdale, Arizona based direct selling company that sells health and wellness products, took the No. 1 ranking in the 2015 version of the Arizona Corporate Excellence (ACE) Fastest-Growing Private Companies list, published today by the Phoenix Business Journal.
Each year the Phoenix Business Journal honors the top 50 large private businesses as well as the top 25 fastest-growing. The list is features numerous business sectors, from transportation and construction to technology and health care.
The ACE lists are researched and compiled by accounting firm CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. The Fastest-Growing Cos. list is ranked using a proprietary formula based on revenue growth over a two-year period. Both actual dollar growth and percentage growth are used to compute the score, with 500 points being the highest possible score.

Medifast Profits Rise In Q3

 
Medifast, Inc., manufacturer and provider of clinically proven weight-loss and healthy living products and programs, and parent company of Take Shape for Life,  today reported financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2015 .
The company served up $5.5 million in net income for the quarter ending Sept. 30, up from $4.9 million last year. Earnings per share came in at 46 cents — up from 39 cents a year ago.
The higher earnings came in spite of revenue that dropped more than 4 percent year-over-year. Medifast posted revenue of $65.9 million, down from $69 million last year.
Several of the company’s smaller lines of business were responsible for the drop. The Medifast Direct channel lost 16 percent of revenue to $11.2 million amid difficulties adding customers. The company’s franchised weight control centers lost 5

Chinese Immigrants Rita Keikei And C.Y. Succesfull With Ambit Energy

 
Rita Keikei and C.Y are immigrants from Hong Kong.  When they were in Hong Kong, C.Y. owned an advertising production company and Rita owned an import/export trading company.
About eighty percent of the pop concert stages in Hong Kong were produced by CY’s company and almost all the big events’ production in Hong Kong such as International Fashion show, Miss Asia Pacific Quest, Hong Kong New Year Parade, the handover ceremony of Hong Kong returning to China etc. were operated by his company. They had a good life.

India’s AP State Chief Minister Assures Industry Of Legislation

 
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has assured the industry on addressing the need for creating a regulatory framework for direct selling. 
 
A delegation from Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FICCI) consisting of key industry leaders, government officials and FICCI representatives met at Andhra Bhawan in New Delhi and presented the Chief Minister with FICCI’s Direct Selling report on Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
 
While releasing the report Naidu stated the importance of Self Help Groups (SHGs) such as ‘Dokra’ for the growing importance of women empowerment in society. This sector in particular, has a major chunk of women retailers working independently.

China’s Direct Selling Market Grows

 
China has seen a growing number of direct selling companies in the past decade with their tax revenue hitting over 300 billion yuan ($4.7 billion), the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Wednesday. 
China now has 71 direct selling companies emplying over 2.8 million people with products ranging from cosmetics to health care equipment according to an MOC statement.
In 2014 alone these companies paid taxes of 5.7 billion yuan and their sales revenue reached 25.1 billion yuan.
The MOC said it will strengthen supervision to help consumption and increase employment.
China issued two regulations on direct selling in 2005 and announced amendments in March 2014 to step up supervision of the business.
