Industry Leaders, Ray And Robin Sanchez, Join Vemma

Nearly 11 years ago, Ray and Robin Sanchez realized how this industry was their answer to providing more for their family of 11. Ray, a top local Michigan musician, and his wife, Robin have experienced great success with two different companies. Their passion is to help others, just like themselves, who desire more for their families.

After seven years in the industry and downturn of the economy, Robin found her business struggling. “When people are just trying to put food on their tables, they will sacrifice the expense of name brand face and foot creams,” Robin says.

In 2011, in an effort to find an answer to turn finances around, Ray joined a health and wellness company with a 90-day challenge platform and realized success early on. Robin soon joined him and the couple went on to build a successful business.
With Vemma having explosive growth and doubling in sales in the last year, they found themselves intrigued with the possibilities to lead even more people to greater success. “We have seen it proven again and again that timing is more important than skill,” says Ray. “There are so many facets of Vemma we fell in love with. We are impressed with this

Nu Skin Q3 Revenue Down 30% To $638 Million

Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: NUS) today announced third-quarter results with revenue of $638.8 million, the top end of the company’s prior guidance and a 30 percent decline from the prior-year period.
Comparable revenue in the third quarter of 2013 included $203 million in sales from the company’s limited-time introduction of its ageLOC® TR90® weight management system.
Revenue for the third quarter of 2014 was negatively impacted three percent by foreign currency fluctuations. Earnings per share for the quarter were $1.12, ahead of expectations, versus $1.80 in the prior-year period.

“We made significant progress during the third quarter,” said Truman Hunt, president and chief executive officer.

“We believe our business in China is stabilizing as we are seeing improving trends in the early sales leader pipeline, we strengthened our capital structure and balance sheet flexibility, we are making good progress in our product development efforts, and we generated positive operating cash flow.

We have also seen continued enthusiasm among our sales force at recent sales leader conventions in our South Asia/Pacific, Greater China and Americas regions.

“Our sales results are heavily impacted by our product launch schedule. Last year’s second-half launch, which generated approximately $550 million in sales, provides a difficult year-over-year

Oriflame Q3 Profit Above Forecast

Oriflame Cosmetics Russian sales stabilized in the third quarter after the beauty products retailer made changes to a compensation plan for sales representatives in the country. The stock rose the most in more than a decade.
Oriflame’s adjusted operating profit totalled 19.7 million euros (15.44 million pounds), topping a mean forecast of 16.8 million in a Reuters poll of analysts.  Revenue in Russia rose 1 percent at local currency rates in the three months through September, the Luxembourg-based company said, the first growth in more than a year.
Oriflame, which gets about half of sales from the countries of the former Soviet Union, reported estimate-beating third-quarter earnings, resulting in a record share rise.
Changes to the so-called Success Plan for employees “are starting to deliver results,” the company said today without elaborating. The Russian sales growth comes after global cosmetics leader L’Oreal SA reported higher revenue in the country yesterday.
“We can see positive trends in Russia with growth in the third quarter and positive continuation into the fourth quarter,” Oriflame Chief Executive Officer Magnus Braennstroem said. The retailer has had operations in the country since 1992.
Oriflame and L’Oreal join western European consumer-products companies reporting surprisingly good growth in Russia in the third

Avon Products’ Rating Cut To Junk By S&P

Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services on Monday cut beauty products direct seller Avon Products Inc. corporate rating to junk, citing the company’s slower-than-expected progress to improve business and weak results, particularly in the U.S. and Brazil.

“Some of the company’s issues are deeper than we anticipated,” S&P said, cutting Avon’s corporate rating to double-B-plus, one notch below investment grade. While the company has a good geographic diversity, the rating agency said, “it will take time to re-engage its active representatives and rebuild sales growth.”

S&P, however, kept the company’s outlook at stable, signaling an expected improvement.
Founded in 1886 by David H. McConnell, a traveling book salesman, Avon became known for a growing sales force of women—the Avon Ladies—and its trademark “Avon calling!” But the New York-based company has been struggling to grow sales and attract and retain sales representatives.
Avon, which in July reported another quarter of disappointing sales and lower profits but said its U.K. market had reported the first quarter of sales growth since 2010, is the midst of a multiyear restructuring plan that the company is hoping will result in $400 million in savings.

Zija International Provides Update On Charitable Arm’s First Year

It’s been a little over one year since Zija International launched The Zija Miracle Foundation, the company’s charitable arm. Zija recently provided an update on the foundation, including what they’ve been able to accomplish and plans for the future.
The foundation’s name pays tribute to Moringa oleifera—nicknamed nature’s “miracle tree”—which is the basis of Zija International’s flagship Core Nutritionals product line.
The Zija Miracle Foundation began by focusing on helping elderly individuals who have been abandoned, as well as young orphans, near one of Zija’s Moringa oleifera farms in Northern India. Since then, they have been able to provide a number of needed items such as cooking supplies, stoves, bedding, and a 2nd floor expansion, which allows the home to take in and help more individuals.
The partnership in India has also led to other opportunities to serve others in need around the world.
In 2011, the devastating Tohoku earthquake and tsunami shattered lives and communities in Japan. Over three years later, the country is still working to recover from the aftermath. This past year, members of Zija Nation in Japan were able to provide support and much-needed service to the community of Sendai, one of the country’s hardest-hit areas.
Just one month after the

New 5 Year Agreement For Lyoness Open

The Lyoness Open will feature in The Race to Dubai until at least 2019 following a new five year agreement between The European Tour, title sponsor Lyoness and promoter Golf Open Event gmbh.
Next year marks the Austrian tournament’s tenth consecutive staging, having also previously been played each year between 1990 and 1996 when champions included Ryder Cup stars Bernhard Langer, Ronan Rafferty and Paul McGinley.
As part of the new agreement, the prize fund for the 2015 tournament will be increased by 50 per cent, from €1,000,000 to €1,500,000. The tournament will return to Diamond Country Club, in Atzenbrugg, the host venue since 2010, which is a European Tour Destination as part of The European Tour’s Properties Network, from June 11-14, 2015.
This year, Sweden’s Mikael Lundberg denied home favourite and 2012 champion Bernd Wiesberger a second victory in three years, holing a 40ft birdie putt on the first play-off hole to claim the title.
Keith Waters, The European Tour’s Chief Operating Officer and Director of International Policy, said: “Since returning the our International Schedule in 2006, the Lyoness Open has developed into an excellent tournament, and it has been an important and valued fixture on our Race to Dubai.
