Arbonne Expands Into Poland

Arbonne International, LLC (Arbonne) through its subsidiary Arbonne Europe Sarl, officially opens its business in Poland today, marking the 34-year-old company’s entry into continental Europe. With the launch, Arbonne introduces its world–class, botanically based, beauty and health and wellness products for the whole family.

“Since 1980, we have seen the incredible power of the Arbonne products and opportunity to transform people’s lives and now we are thrilled to share that in Poland, too”

Arbonne’s continued growth in its four current countries is generating positive momentum to carry the company’s culture, sense of community, products and opportunity into Poland. In advance of the launch, Arbonne Poland events were held earlier this month in Sopot, Warsaw and Krakow — with nearly 1,200 excited attendees.
Existing Arbonne Independent Consultants from other countries also attended the pre-launch events to lend their support, experience and enthusiasm. Entry into Poland makes Arbonne operational in a fifth country, along with Australia, Canada,

DSA Says They Will Address Avon’s Concerns

The $32 billion direct-selling industry has gotten criticized for years by everyone from consumer activists to Wall Street tycoons. Now it’s getting heat from within.
Avon Products (AVP), one of the best known multi-level marketers (MLMs), stunned the industry earlier this month when it resigned from the Direct Selling Association, a trade association that it helped found. Avon’s stated reason for leaving the organization is that its ethics standards are not stringent enough.
The standards, which the DSA has argued are so strict that many multi-level marketers are unwilling to join, don’t strike the right balance between recruiting new salespeople and developing a viable business, according to Jennifer Vargas, a company spokeswoman.

“We think the code of ethics needs to be stronger,” Vargas said in an interview with CBS MoneyWatch.

Unlike other multi-level marketers (MLMs), Avon doesn’t require its 6 million independent sales representatives to purchase excess inventory from one another and places limits on the amount of profits they can earn from recruiting other members. Avon only allows representatives to profit from the sales of “three generations” of their organization, meaning people who are recruited by the independent businessperson.
“We do not promise commissions on infinite sales,” writes Cheryl Heinonen, the company’s chief communications officer, in

Fast-growing Vísi has added a pivotal player to its expanding executive team. The company, best known for its proprietary AC2 technology (Arctic Cloudberry + hydrolyzed collagen-based vitality products) has welcomed sales leader Ben Riley as the Vice President of Leadership Development.
“Ben knows how to help leaders build business fast, strong, and well,” said Vísi Founder and CEO Kent Lewis. “He has incredible network marketing savvy, but also great energy. It’s one more signal of our momentum, to have a talent of his caliber on board.”
Riley is most recently of Avon, where he was Vice President of Sales for the Australia and New Zealand market. He was instrumental in developing market leadership in this juggernaut market, comprising more than $130 million USD annual sales. Prior to Avon, Ben held senior positions in a variety of disciplines, including operations, finance, marketing, sales, and field development for Melaleuca and 4Life Research.
“Vísi was a very intentional choice for me,” says Ben. “The products are unique. They deliver. I’m a big believer in ‘DWYSYWD,” an acronym for ‘Do what you say you will do,’” he adds.
“The products do what they say they will do, and so does the company. To me, that’s a recipe for

ACN Global Reach Charities has been recognized by Charlotte Business Journal as one of the largest Charlotte area foundations. Since 2011, ACN Global Reach Charities has provided focused management and fundraising efforts to many of the initiatives started by the ACN Co-Founders. The foundation is honored to be ranked 19th by the publication for their $1,292,750 in donations during 2013.
ACN supports a long and ever-growing list of organizations on a global scale, as well as many organizations in Charlotte and the surrounding areas, with our efforts concentrated on those directly impacting children.  In fact, since ACN relocated their World Headquarters to Concord, NC, they’ve made it their mission to cultivate roots in the Charlotte area and help the community grow by first growing the children and families throughout the community. Today, ACN supports over 50 local organizations and growing.
ACN partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities on a global scale in 2008, raising funds for houses around the globe at each of their events, totaling well into the millions.  But when ACN discovered Charlotte didn’t have a house, they made it their mission to help change that, making significant contributions locally to open the doors of the Ronald McDonald House of

Investors Concerned About Recent Events, Avon Hits 52 Week Low

Shares of  Avon Products Inc. ( AVP ) have lost much of its momentum and yesterday this New York-based global beauty retailer stock hit a new 52-week low of $12.45. We believe that the recently announced resignation of the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President, Kimberly Ross, has made investors cautious about the company’s prospects. The resignation will take effect from Oct 2, 2014.
Ross, who joined Avon nearly three years back, proved to be an able leader as she significantly contributed toward the company’s turnaround. Management remains pleased with her work and believes that the company is well on track for the future.
Ross has been able to make significant progress in improvising Avon’s balance sheet through refinancing activities and cost cutting by slashing jobs and exiting operations in the underperforming markets. Consequently, her resignation has made investors apprehensive about the company’s future performance.
Apart from this, Avon Products remains in troubled waters due to continuous loss of active representatives, declining volume, unfavorable exchange rates and reducing margins in mature markets like North America. This has led to the company’s distressed operating results over the past few quarters. Moreover, weakness in the emerging markets, like China as well as regulatory and cash flow
