Amway India’s CEO Released From Jail After 2 Months

Direct-selling company Amway India on Monday said its MD and CEO William S Pinckney has been released on bail, two months after his arrest by Andhra Pradesh Police in connection with criminal cases registered against the firm in the state.
A spokesperson of Amway said Pinckney has been granted bail in all the cases in Andhra Pradesh.
Commenting on the development in a joint statement, Amway chairman Steve Van Andel and president Doug DeVos said: “The release of Amway India CEO Bill Pinckney is a great relief.”
They, however, added they were “profoundly dismayed that this unnecessary detention occurred at all, and are even more troubled that it lasted so long”.
Amway regional president, Europe, South Africa & India Samir Behl said: “His arrest and long detention was unnecessary and unreasonable. We will vigorously defend ourselves at trial.”
Pinckney was arrested on May 26 from Amway India’s headquarters at Gurgaon and later was produced before a court in district Kurnool, which sent him to judicial custody after rejecting his bail plea.
He was subsequently arrested in other criminal cases registered against him in the state on allegations of financial irregularities by Amway, a charge contested by the company.
“Our focus is squarely on efforts to ensure that

Amway Releases Second Edition Of The Nutrilite Story

Amway Co-Founder Rich DeVos says that without the Nutrilite story, there would be no Amway story.
“When Jay Van Andel and I became Nutrilite distributors in 1949, we knew the product and the plan were something special,” DeVos said. “In this (new) book, Dr. Sam Rehnborg shares the remarkable story of Nutrilite, from Carl Rehnborg’s pioneering work in developing the multivitamin to how the Nutrilite brand helps millions achieve optimal health through Amway today.”
It’s only been five years since the release of the first edition of The Nutrilite Story: Past, Present and Future, which chronicles the journey of Nutrilite Founder Carl Rehnborg as he launched what is now the world’s number one selling brand of vitamins and dietary supplements.
But a lot has happened in the last five years.
As Nutrilite celebrates its 80 th anniversary, the second edition of The Nutrilite Story: Past, Present and Futureadds five chapters that chronicle the tremendous growth experienced from 2009 to 2014. That growth reflects advancements in research that drive innovative product development, investment to expand global manufacturing capabilities, and the unique global agribusiness approach that supports Nutrilite organic farms.
“The Nutrilite story continues to grow, fueled by ongoing demand for our products that is driving global investment in manufacturing,

Amway Urges India To Release Bill Pinckney

Amway India’s CEO Bill Pinckney was arrested on May 26 at Amway’s headquarters in Gurgaon. At the time of this writing, he remains in police custody. This continued detention and harassment must end. Amway is a reputable company with 55 years of operating legally and ethically in more than 100 countries and territories worldwide.
And while the newly elected Union government in New Delhi played no role in this police action, we ask their help with the immediate release of Bill so he can be quickly and safely return to his family. To continue with this investigative retention when we have fully cooperated with all investigations and requests from authorities in India – including Andhra Pradesh – is unnecessary and unreasonable.
Whenever our business model has been questioned, we have shown up to provide answers. We have made every effort to be entirely transparent and forthcoming with authorities. If there is a problem, we want to fix it so we can continue to do business in India.
The underlying issue at hand is the lack of clear direct selling regulations that distinguish legitimate businesses like Amway from dishonest ones.
Additionally, provisions of the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act seem to be

Amway Wants To Shut Down Amway Wiki

For many years an Amway rep runs the www.thetruthaboutamway.com website and Amway Wiki. Seems the Amway Business Conduct & Rules department wants the website to shut down.
The Truth About Amway website:
“Years ago there was a website called Quixtar Wiki. It was run by Amway and Quixtar critics and they filled it essentially with criticism and anything negative they could find about the Amway and Quixtar businesses, and some stuff that was just plain made up.
Any time you searched for a Diamond’s name, it would rank near the top of Google’s listings. So, if you invited some prospect to come to a seminar to listen to a successful Amway achiever, they’d google the person’s name and end up on a virulently anti-Amway website”
Good stuff, eh?
So nine years ago I started Amway Wiki, which would give a true picture of the business. I wouldn’t hide the negative – court cases, divorces, terminations, whatever – that kind of information is there too. But so is all the positive stories of the thousands of Diamonds around the world. Today, if you invite one of your prospects to a meeting to hear from an Amway Diamond, and they google the name, odds are AmwayWiki will be
