The World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) has announced Shaila B. Manyam as its new Executive Director.
Manyam brings a wealth of experience in global public affairs, with a strong background leading strategic communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives for international organizations, NGOs, and governments. Her extensive experience includes managing high-level political dialogues and public-private partnerships across sectors including global health, gender equality, and foreign policy. Additionally, she has provided coaching to senior executives and authored thought leadership papers on trade policy and geopolitical risk.
Previously, Manyam served as a U.S. diplomat with assignments in Haiti, Israel, France, Iraq, and Washington, D.C. These roles significantly enhanced her expertise in international policy, media relations, and global stakeholder engagement. Manyam holds academic credentials from the London School of Economics and Smith College, is multilingual, and has received prestigious awards recognizing her diplomatic service and humanitarian contributions.
