The Raw Food World reports: Essential oils are used in aromatherapy and may provide numerous health benefits. These oils are starting to be explored by the scientific community for their effectiveness in treating cancer, HIV, asthma, bronchitis, heart disease and strokes.
It appears that the FDA is not too happy about this healing potential. This past week, Young Living and doTERRA both received letters from the FDA claiming that their products are being marketed as unapproved drugs. The companies are being told that they have to remove all health claims and take corrective actions or they face serious legal consequences. Considering past FDA threats, these consequences would most likely look like armed federal marshals ransacking their warehouses and seizing all of their products.

Herbalife Announces They Are Official Sponsor Of YMCA Event

Global nutrition company Herbalife has announced a $15,000 donation as part of its ongoing commitment as Official Nutrition Sponsor of the 2015 YMCA Stair Climb for Los Angeles.
This is the third straight year Herbalife will serve as the Official Nutrition Sponsor of the YMCA Stair Climb. The $15,000 donation will help support the downtown YMCA’s programs that promote youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The YMCA stair climb—taking place on Friday, September 25—will showcase a range of Herbalife sports nutrition products throughout the event, including Herbalife’s popular H30 hydration product and its effervescent Liftoff® energy product, all designed to keep athletes of all levels fueled during competition. Herbalife products will be placed into 4,000 gift bags prepared by the YMCA for stair climb participants.

CVSL, Inc. reports preliminary financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
We analyze the earnings along side the following peers of CVSL Inc. – PCM, Inc., QuinStreet, Inc. and Mannatech, Incorporated (PCMI-US, QNST-US and MTEX-US) that have also reported for this period.
Highlights
Summary numbers: Revenues of USD 32.74 million, Net Earnings of USD -1.69 million, and Earnings per Share (EPS) of USD -0.05.
Gross margins narrowed from 66.31% to 64.47% compared to the same quarter last year, operating (EBITDA) margins now -5.05% from -15.93%.
Year-on-year change in operating cash flow of -16.46% is about the same as the change in earnings, likely no significant movement in accruals or reserves.
Earnings growth from operating margin improvements as well as one-time items.
