NatureRich Founder Convicted For Tax Evasion

Long time tax protestor and founder of NatureRich, Inc. a multilevel marketing company that sells natural and health-related products has been sentenced to five years in prison for running up and snubbing a bill of more than $600,000 in back taxes, interest and penalties.
The sentencing of Michael A. Schlegel, last week in a federal court in Minneapolis follows his conviction by a jury on three counts of tax evasion, three counts of failing to file tax returns and conspiracy to defraud the federal government. A determination on what restitution Schlegel is liable for, if any, has yet to be determined by the court.
While held in federal custody in the Sherburne County jail, Schlegel, co-founder of NatureRich Inc., made good on his vow upon conviction and filed an appeal the next day.

ASEA Achieves Scientific Breakthrough With Clinical Studies

ASEA, an emerging global leader in cellular health, today announced findings from two clinical studies that demonstrated its RENU 28® skin gel improves the skin renewal process and increases blood flow in the skin.
In the skin renewal study, participants applied RENU 28 to one forearm daily for two weeks. A fluorescent dye was applied to the RENU 28 forearm and to the control forearm to measure cell renewal. Each forearm was then photographed under UV light and quantified over the course of 11 days. Results of the study data show that there was approximately a 16 percent faster skin renewal rate on the forearm treated with RENU 28.

Youngevity Acquires Jewelry Company Mialisia

Direct-selling conglomerate Youngevity Essential Life Sciences announced Thursday that it completed the acquisition of the business of Mialisia, a direct-sales jewelry company that specializes in interchangeable jewelry.
As reported by Youngevity, the company’s distributors and customers will have access to the VersaStyle line of Mialisia’s jewelry. Mialisia distributors and customers will gain access to more than 1,000 products offered by Youngevity, including nutritional supplements, sports and energy drinks, health and wellness-related services, weight management and lifestyle products, gourmet coffee, packaged foods, skincare, cosmetics, scrap books, memory books, apparel and accessories.
The transaction amount was not disclosed.
