Usborne Books 4th Quarter Report Shows 19 Consecutive Months Of Growth

 
Randall White, CEO, Educational Development Corporation (“EDC”) (Nasdaq:EDUC) today announced record net revenues for the fiscal third quarter and the nine months ended November 30, 2014.
For the nine months ended November 30, 2014, EDC reports record net revenue of $24,923,000, a 23% increase of $4,715,400 when compared to $20,207,600 for the same period in the previous year and net earnings of $762,200 compared to $670,800. Earnings per share were $0.19 compared to $0.17 the previous year on a fully diluted basis.
Net revenue for the quarter ended November 30, 2014 was also a Company record $10,936,500 when compared to $8,502,000 for the same quarter last year up 29%, however net earnings were off slightly, down 4%.
The home business division, Usborne Books & More (“UBAM”), has now recorded 19 consecutive months of revenue growth after nine years of decline. Net revenues for the first nine months of fiscal year 2015 were up 39% over the same period in fiscal year 2014, and for this quarter up 49%. Primerica Embarks On A 9-city Tour Throughout North America

 
Primerica, Inc., the leading distributor of financial products to middle income families in North America, announced today that Glenn Williams, who will be advancing to the role of Chief Executive Officer, will meet with the company’s top sales force leaders in a 9-city tour across the U.S. and Canada.
During these meetings, Williams will be joined by current co-CEO John Addison, Peter Schneider, who will be advancing to President, and other Primerica home office leaders. Exciting new sales force initiatives will be highlighted in the sessions, which are expected to attract thousands of representatives at each location.
The meetings will also celebrate 2014 successes, including growth of life insurance face amount in force to approximately $682 billion at year’s end, as well as record-breaking Investment and Savings Products (ISP) sales of $5.7 billion and client asset value of over $48 billion, an increase of 9% and 7% respectively, year-over-year. In 2014, Primerica also paid approximately $590 million in compensation to its sales representatives, which represents an increase of more than $50 million, year-over-year.

4Life Announces Corporate Promotions For 2015

 
Due to continued growth in the U.S. and abroad, 4Life President and CEO Steve Tew is proud to announce several high-level corporate promotions for the 2015 calendar year.
The new vice presidents are Deborah Dixon as Vice President of Field Development for Spanish Markets, Teressa Street as Vice President of Quality Assurance, and David Vollmer, PhD, as Vice President of Analytical and Quality Services.
Dixon’s new responsibilities include collaborating with Spanish-speaking distributors to develop relationships and achieve business objectives in the U.S., the Caribbean, Europe, South America, and Central America. Street will oversee the strategic development and tactical implementation of 4Life’s quality systems. Finally, Dr. Vollmer’s team will ensure that all quality testing at 4Life complies with worldwide regulatory requirements for dietary supplements, nutritionals, and cosmetics.
In addition, new 4Life directors include Jenny Bean as Director, International and Rick Eastman as Director of Technical Support. Bean will provide operational direction to support Chinese-speaking distributors through the company’s Hong Kong and Taiwan offices. Whereas, Eastman will oversee operational support for technical assistance to 4Life’s global headquarters as well worldwide international offices in 24 countries.

Matt Lehr, One Time NFL Pro, Joins Nerium International

 
In 2001, fresh from the gridiron at Virginia Tech, Matt Lehr was drafted to the Dallas Cowboys. His talents on the football field, as a guard, center, and special teams player, would earn him 51 starts with five teams over the course of eight years and 98 games.
