The Lottery Authority in Norway is a government agency responsible for illegal marketing, illegal gaming and pyramids.

Lyoness Announces Partnership with Italian Soccer Club AS Roma

Italian soccer club AS Roma entered into a strategic partnership with Cashback World, a rewards card operated by shopping community Lyoness.
The financial service will be the official cashback partner of Roma from the start of 2018. The Serie club joins Cashback World’s international shopping network via the AS Roma Cashback Program, which will offer its fans up to five per cent cashback or shopping points when used in the club shop or acquiring tickets.
A small percentage of each purchase made by members of the AS Roma Cashback Card program will go towards supporting the club’s various charitable initiatives.
Neither the financial terms nor the duration of the contract have been made public.
“We’re delighted to have agreed this unique partnership,” said Umberto Gandini, Roma’s chief executive.
“This arrangement with an industry giant such as Lyoness underlines how much importance we place on our fans, who will now be able to take advantage of a host of new opportunities and fantastic offers.”
AS Roma came second in Serie A in 2016/17, Eusebio Di Francesco’s side currently occupy fourth place in the league in 2017/18.

Lyoness Plans To Appeal Against Swiss Pyramid Decision

 
According to an article in TT.com an magazine in Austria, Lyoness has stated it plans to appeal the decision from the Swiss Court that the company compensation plan is a Pyramid – Snowballl system.

Lyoness Successfully Wins Case In Australia

 

Lyoness has won a court case against the consumer watchdog, which accused the company of operating a pyramid scheme and engaging in referral selling. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission initiated the proceedings against the Austrian company in August last year.

In his judgment in the Federal Court today, Justice Flick said there could be “no doubting the fact that inducements were held out to prospective members that they would ultimately receive financial benefits other than the discounts they received on purchases made from loyalty merchants”.
However, the court found that any entitlement was dependent not on the introduction of new members, but from those new members engaging in shopping activity. The ACCC also failed to establish that people could become members only by making down payments.

Lyoness Refutes Pyramid Allegations In Estonia

 
On 13 October 2015 Radar Channel 2 in Estonia featured a report alleging that Lyoness was operating a pyramid scheme and provided the case of a group of hearing impaired people who claimed to have been misled by representatives and lost money. A consumer protection board in Estonia has reportedly ordered a refund by the company to some of these hearing impaired individuals.
Lyoness has responded to these allegations by refuting all claims of operating a pyramid scheme.
In its response Lyoness states that it has now been operating for over 12 years and in 46 countries and has become one of the world’s largest shopping communities. The company has more than five million members and over 50,000 loyalty merchants around the world.
